Expanding Super Fluke Color Choices ?
Baby bass was my top color Super Fluke last year.

Tell me about your best day on the water in 2016
Early October at a small lake with my oldest son. He caught his personal best in total numbers (quantity) and out fished me 3 to 1. I had a blast seeing him do so well. The buzzbait bite was on fire that morning.

Right or left
I use a RH casting reel and LH spinning reel. I am RH. Did not have a good explanation when my son asked me about it.

Is bass fishing done up north??!!
The last day I fished this season was the Saturday after Thanksgiving. The ice is getting thick around here (Eastern Nebraska) -- but that is to be expected when the temps late last week were -11+ on Sunday morning with windchill in the -30's. Brrrrrrrr...

Need Job Advice.
It sounds like a great opportunity has been presented to you, I think it would be wise to accept it if you enjoy what you are doing. As other posts have identified, the jail/police job opportunity may not happen for a while (or at all), and the best of plans do not always go as scheduled.

New Design!
Yep, thinking the same thing.

Fenwick HMX
Can anyone give some real world insight on the Fenwick Aetos rods? - would like to get some better gear but not sure I want to save up for a St. Croix, Dobyns, etc... level rod. Right now using the BPS carbon lite rod (7' medium, fast action). Thanks.

Bass Hunter
Looks like it is an 8' that is in good shape. There is a great thread on here that you will want to take a look at:

Frustratingly, yes...

Saved by a spinnerbait!
Same here. When all else fails, I go back to a basic Booyah Pond Magic spinnerbait.

Metallica vs Megadeth
Having seen both in concert, and listened to their albums the last few decades, I would have to go with Megadeth. Despite all of the various lineup changes and crazy Dave moments, they have really produced some great tracks. If I could add in another "metal" band, albeit not thrash metal, Iron Maiden is still my favorite concert. IM would be my "desert island" choice.

Only one today, but new PB
Very nice fish - nothing wrong with those kind of "1 fish" days.

Any Pelican Bass Raider Owners Out There?
I second this. While there are a lot of posts to read, there are some outstanding ideas. Now that I have had my 10E for a month now, I plan on going back through all the posts again. Enjoy!

Has this ever happened to anyone?
Yes, just recently while shore fishing. This guy was very aggressive - just wanted to destroy the lure.

Anyone in omaha?!
Omaha here. Been bank fishing over at Youngman (192nd and Dodge), Zorinsky, Whitehawk, Wanhoo, and a few small farm ponds in West O. I have most of my luck on small Boo-Yah Spinner-baits (pond magic) and Zoom Super Flukes. My fishing buddy has done very well with a black & blue football head jig with trailer, soft body frog, and Zara Spook. I have been hearing real good things about Prairie Queen and Walnut Creek. Now that I have a little pond boat, may give those a try next. Good luck...

Any Pelican Bass Raider Owners Out There?
What a great thread - read it from start to finish, and now cannot wait to make some modifications to my Bass Raider 10E. Picked it up used (brand new - sat in guy's garage collecting dust) with sealed trolling motor, life vests, paddle, and a few other assorted goodies for $500.00 Only hassle I had was getting it registered with the State of Nebraska. Ugh! Now that is behind me, already have made a couple of trips and caught some nice ones. Looking forward to some fall fishing.

Time/place you caught your PB
May 1986 - SE Massachusetts. Small pond, fishing from the bank, using a 7" Rapala minnow in a complete downpour. Only fish I caught that day. Weighed in at 7 pounds 3 ounces on certified scale about an hour after catch. Unfortunately, I have not caught anything close to that size since. After nearly a 20 year absence from fishing, I am hoping to turn that around.
