@padlin, I fell out of a 14’ boat last winter in jeans boots Sherpa lined hoodie and a life jacket. I was somehow back on board before I had time to think . It was a sunny day but I was a tad surprised I wasn’t colder, I almost kept fishing but thought better of it. Not recommended but adrenaline is amazing, I couldn’t have been in for 5 seconds. Under normal conditions in swimming trunks and 85 degree water I don’t think I could hoist myself into that boat but in that brief moment in ultra heavy wet clothes I could move mountains to get out of the cold water 😂

Oh yes they will! There are unfortunately lots of bodies in the TN river and millions of people including myself drink the water. I found a body in little river once and I know other fisherman that also have , it supplies the city of Maryville with drinking water. And that’s just a tributary. It’s honestly hard to keep track of how many times a body is found just in the water I fish, all the more reason to WEAR A LIFE JACKET

@Team9nine, I think this latest bout of rain will be more off and on than the last flooding. Some thunderstorms but not constant, we will see

Might as well follow up all those big bass with some dinks, eh??? got my wife’s kayak out on the river again after work. Got a few crappie (I thought they were nice ones until I logged onto BR), lots of tiny LM, one SM, and a yellow bass. Right when I got started a bald eagle was flying over a busy highway where I launched. Then once I got out to the main channel it was still flying around and landed on a mud flat right next to a big stump and just stood there. All the ducks and seagulls were flying around nervously while it was standing there

I’m sure they would eat it again if you dragged it around long enough. But they can pass the info along year after year to their offspring, I can’t explain the dry land part tho haha. Maybe a canal ?

Survival. Why do all the deer go nocturnal one day after hunting season opens? This is chess not checkers also the thing with WP could definitely be the sound. One plastic worm doesn’t sound that much different than the other but the noise from a WP is unmistakeable

Apparently they are much happier to see you when it’s nice and quiet

My buddy that fished the Great Lakes a lot said if you were on the troller in shallow water you could see fish spook. Pull up the troller and anchor down and they came back to hang out near the boat all wildlife will respond to any pressure put on them. Possum can’t get out of the road so they make more possums. It’s survival as always, the humans will worry and the fish will kill stuff and eat it. They have to be tough, we don’t
