  1. We are finally getting some of that warmth the northerners wouldn’t share in January. It’s very nice thank you
  2. White ones are also good
  3. Yes excel is good stuff, I got a 24 lb striper on 12 lb about a month ago
  4. We have a @GreenPig sighting…… looks like everybody is still on em .
  5. Yes! Especially black
  6. I live right across the water from downtown Knoxville but I’ve been known to fish anywhere
  7. ^”ill take things old people say for $400, Alex “
  8. Kayak crappies and a cotton candy sunset . Forgot the seat as usual and had to use a cooler……
  9. When I went to dale hollow a couple years ago there were kayaks everywhere, I think it’s a good way to do it. The Caney fork is a NIGHTMARE if it’s warm outside, an outfitter will drop of literally hundreds of kayakers. I saw several fly fisherman wading and they got slammed into over and over by kayaks
  10. A fluke and a frog skip light a flat rock, just practice practice practice
  11. Thanks @Way north bass guy! When do I start ? 😂 That would be a wonderful skill to learn but relocation is not in the cards . We’ve got two houses so one of them is hopefully destined to be an income property. I’m not going to miss climbing tall ladders and walking on steep roofs, that’s for sure! Both our houses have a gentle pitch and you can get up there with any ladder longer than 12 ft and walk around comfortably and clean the gutters and chimney
  12. You guessed it z. One thing you always hear scopers say is there are tons of fish that don’t bite. The bigs are still there, they are just learning. if the habitat is there, another fish will take a big dead one’s place
  13. Thanks ! I’ll keep yall posted
  14. Zcoker, you catch like 300 bass over 7 lbs in a month , fish are healthy 😂 you too Brian , with your 40 degree water Mudhole 5 lbers Yeah he gets those sickly little stunted 8 lbers suffering from improper population dynamics 😂
  15. @Zcoker, DD fish also die when people don’t catch them. They don’t spawn as successfully at that age either. They are going to die no matter what, it’s called consumptive mortality. I don’t think the fishing was vastly better before Josh jones caught hundreds of monsters and I’d bet it won’t be any different after Josh jones is gone either as long as the habitat is there
  16. Thread derailed…….. while we are discussing big bass, how do folks like Ben milliken and Josh jones catch more big bass than ever if they are all dead ? with all the racket people make in bass tournaments, I’m surprised they catch anything. The bass persist thru it all
  17. Hahaha I don’t know what the new career is but I know I’ll make more money day 1 literally anywhere than after 17 yrs with my current job no congratulations necessary I’m basically just jumping off a sinking ship or turning off a dead end road. I’m losing money just paying the bills the way it’s going but fret not I still have 3 part time and seasonal jobs after quitting this
  18. Nice work !!! yall are going to have to shoulder the load going forward as I’m about to retire from trapping Friday and try another career
  19. If the habitat is there, the bass are there. Doesn’t matter how you catch em
  20. Same ole story, people are worried and the fish are just fine. Been happening since the 60s or so lemme tell ya what happen in the 80s and 90s in Florida. Every single tire shop owner in America went there, caught 10 lb bass, and hung it in their tire store back home. 30 yrs later Scott Martin breaks the weight record and releases his fish. All of a sudden the bass is doomed ??
  21. These genius level humans are unfortunately always very fertile
  22. That happens about a dozen times per day at the ramps near my house
  23. A waffle maker can blow the fuse when using one of those inverters at a tailgate party for a noon kickoff…..
  24. This is great, might have to drop the photo into the tournament threads a few times a month…….
