I only recommend defibrillator mode if you are like me, stuck at a campground an hour away from a battery store 😂

@casts_by_fly pretty much. You can throw it around a little to loosen the crud , then hit it hard with lots of amps and it will boil that mess. I have one of those battery chargers on wheels that has a 220 amp setting I refer to as defibrillator mode

I also know a redneck trick to breaking up that sulfate crud. Not recommended for safety purposes but I have used it successfully when in remote areas without battery stores

Odds are 50/50 , right? Might work might not haha. I’ve done that many times and they usually come back to life

I got some video of a striper battle in which I engaged yesterday. Probably took close to half an hour to catch it

Sometimes it helps to be a little crazy…….. got the boat ramp and it started sleeting heavily. No big deal I’ll wait a bit, then it just starts pouring rain. 45 minutes later I finally launch in some decent weather but cold and windy. Had a good day for trophy fish, but they were unexpected participants. Caught some crappie largemouth and drum then something grabs a jigging spoon and just takes all my line. I thought I had some massive carp in the tail but after 20 minute fight it turned out to be a 24 lb 39” striped bass. What a battle, I got some of it on video. honorable mention was a monster shellcracker

So is every state cheaper than TN except CA? 😂

It’s always a good laugh when you call a drum an Alabama smallmouth as well. Although Friday I caught several in a row and wore the joke out 😂

Only had two work stops today so I got to fish a while. Got my first bass of 2024 with a purple worm on a jig head, fitting then I anchored up for a while trying to jig up some white bass, not much action. Got into a current seam and vertical jigged 5-6 drum with a small paddle tail bait and finally one white bass. I then tried a deep eddy and it was loaded with fish but I only got one crappie and dropped another of similar size. Couple bluegill sprinkled in
