  1. No-ad 30 . Hate the spray
  2. @Ohioguy25, the spring hype that you hear about is for areas outside the Ohio river valley haha although there is a guy that I follow on IG that catches big smallies out of the great Miami this time of year, granted he catches them all times of year
  3. @Dwight Hottle, I’d like to see how big of a smallmouth you’d catch there in a February snow flurry , I bet it would be 8 lbs
  4. Good to hear wheeler is rebounding, everyone said it was awful 3-4 years ago. TVA is a federal utility with more money than bout anybody, they couldn’t care less about the fishing haha. They issue permits to people that spray herbicide, and probably make even more money on those
  5. Been watching, looks like the fishing is as tough as woodpecker lips. I love the coosa, I’ll be fishing that water willow on the Alabama river later this month
  6. Nice fish Katie, can’t help with the pad question, unfortunately they kill anything cool like that on my waters
  7. Nice day, I got tired just thinking about trying all those different lures
  8. @T-Billy, possibly the greatest cartoon ever
  9. These two are the most famous people in fishing, kind of sucks it blows my mind this story has gotten so much traction, like people that don’t even fish were so shocked they would stuff lead into fish at a weigh in. That’s quite literally the oldest trick in the book!!!!! People have done that for 50 years, what in the world is so shocking????
  10. Yeah people say they don’t bed fish because it’s easy, I’m the opposite. I don’t bed fish because it’s way too hard. I can’t see them and when I do see them I can’t catch them . Great way to get skunked, spawn is the only season around here where it’s a struggle to catch nice SMB. Summer, fall, and winter they will eat a bait
  11. I’ve also heard daylight fishing is nearly impossible once it’s warm out
  12. Thanks for the details!!
  13. I’d feel a lot better about chucking vodka into the river than anti freeze…..
  14. A game warden buddy of mine said even a cell phone flashlight counts. I was driving up the dead center of TN River one night and saw a blinking red light in the middle. I idled over to see what it was and it was two people on two paddle boards. It takes a village……
  15. It’s full of big LM now
  16. I’ve only been once last year. We did ok but nothing crazy, got a nice 4 lber first day but that was the only fish that afternoon
  17. If you don’t have a motor, only a flashlight is required to have on board for signaling (it’s hard to plug your lights into a wooden paddle.)
  18. @LrgmouthShad I’ve tried that one and the chartreuse one
  19. @Jar11591, you’d be shocked how often I throw those things haha. @LrgmouthShad gave me that bait, I think he might have infused it with magic shad oil
  20. Y’all ain’t gonna believe this one…….. I was piddling around downtown and saw some shad flicker . Chucked the spinnerbait over there and a smallmouth ate it. Still in shock today……. I even took two pictures just in case and the fish looks totally different seconds apart haha
  21. A guy I went to college with is a game warden on that lake and he’s a real hard arse
  22. I don’t even try it, but I have before. Not a great recipe for success for me, never liked sloppy seconds it reminds me of a guy I used to work with, he would never read a newspaper someone else had already opened under any circumstance. now I’ve got some younger readers wondering what in the world is a newspaper
  23. Welcher can catch big spots !
