It’s been quite sunny here the last two days, a welcome change. Cold and windy but not that cold. Going fishing in the morning, maybe spinnerbait will work. Predicted to be sunny, windy, and mid 30s air temp

It’s actually just a county road that ends at the river. The water is usually about 6 feet higher up in the cul de sac. That’s why nobody is allowed to fix it (department of transposition/riparian, who knows) I’ve seen a lot of trucks just drive off it forward and make a big circle out in the river to launch a jet boat. I only carry my canoe down it nowadays, that photo was July 4 2015.

Smallmouth certainly fight really hard but I recall a couple 8 lb largemouth that I thought were going to sink my boat they pulled so hard. One of them buried my rod waaaaaay down underwater and I had to push the thumb bar to let it run. I was nearly pulled overboard I will report back if I ever get an 8 lb smallmouth
