  1. That sounds like a whole lot of work just to get free and go to work ………. No problem sleeping after a day like that
  2. It’s been quite sunny here the last two days, a welcome change. Cold and windy but not that cold. Going fishing in the morning, maybe spinnerbait will work. Predicted to be sunny, windy, and mid 30s air temp
  3. I like to work but mice and squirrels wouldn’t consider it ethical
  4. Hahaha other people have broken much bigger ones . The wheelbarrow rides on (although I did have to make a late night wal mart run from there once after an oopsie)
  5. Sounds like that tarpon was a runnin’
  6. It’s actually just a county road that ends at the river. The water is usually about 6 feet higher up in the cul de sac. That’s why nobody is allowed to fix it (department of transposition/riparian, who knows) I’ve seen a lot of trucks just drive off it forward and make a big circle out in the river to launch a jet boat. I only carry my canoe down it nowadays, that photo was July 4 2015.
  7. Yeah they ain’t trying to win any beauty pageants with their boats
  8. Tell that to all the wheels it has shattered. Not tires, metal wheels
  9. That les Paul tho………
  10. Yes sir we got plenty of it, just no lightning or tornado which is good. They are increasing flows significantly here on the top end so I would expect the same for pickwick in a week or so
  11. We just got rain, nothing crazy
  12. Yikes! I bet
  13. They have an extra gear when they get toward that size. When you set the hook it’s a speeding locomotive. You can hear the fishing line cry out in agony
  14. Hey @AlabamaSpothunter, how does your lake look after all that?
  15. Hahah!!!! I heard about that bear. Pretty crazy. They won’t let us trap those….
  16. Cold front knocked ‘em in the head. Seent it right off
  17. Usually something like this
  18. I don’t think the fishing industry has made it to the nth power . Yet .
  19. Haha! Way more fun than eating a sandwich although I did almost bust my rear on the wet rocks
  20. Smallmouth certainly fight really hard but I recall a couple 8 lb largemouth that I thought were going to sink my boat they pulled so hard. One of them buried my rod waaaaaay down underwater and I had to push the thumb bar to let it run. I was nearly pulled overboard I will report back if I ever get an 8 lb smallmouth
  21. Although I was only about 50 steps away from my work truck ?
  22. 12-12:30 lunch break yielded a largemouth. Then I got a drum, didn’t want a photo but I remembered that @roadwarriorloves drum pics so I got one
