My buddy got the nicest fish of the day today, I got a super dink SMB and a big rock bass

I guess I’ve fished in maybe 3, we caught some in one of them

“Beer me” cool video. I’ve got some guide co workers that drift boat fly fish musky, they talk all this technical stuff then catch the musky with a fly that’s just dangling in the water next to the anchor on a rod nobody is holding haha. “It’s all about presentation….. to the client not the fish”

Haha! Yeah I did see a monster walleye with @galyonjbut it evaded. I don’t think they are common here but there was that one…….. I think we have similar size on sauger also, biggest I’ve seen was 21” my buddy brought into my boat. we don’t have saugeye but it seems like they get massive according to @T-Billy we have crazy variety, that’s for sure. I thought I caught a rare madtom while seining for hellgramites the other day. lots of experts looked at it and they think it was a color morph of a more common madtom. Also caught some pretty darters

Well I threw a spinner bait for one hour, no bites. Pulled up to a spot I knew there would be fish after dark, thanks Jeremy, and tossed the spinnerbait a few times, nothing. Picked up purple worm and caught a sauger, two smallmouth, two redeye, and dropped a walleye. I think the whole world is playing a decades long spinner bait joke on me

They will find you

I just threw one for an hour no bites. Picked up a purple worm and missed a bite twice, caught a nice sauger on 3rd try. Which bait would you throw, starvation or white meat chunks?

Fluke on jig head has put many meals in my belly. Spinnerbait will starve a man to death
