  1. First you’ve ever seen??? Lucky……. Hahaha. Gosh I see them all the time, occasionally even hanging from peoples soffit
  2. I don’t feel as strong doing anything as I once did, except maybe napping
  3. that’s a bad mamajama right there @Phishtank I probably already posted this same thing on this thread years ago, but I’ve got to somehow up my finding lures game. Yall find all kinds of cool stuff! I even have swim fins and goggles but all I find is ancient beer cans haha. I recently found two that you used to open with a little key thingy
  4. It’s funny, you can try your whole life not to catch one and get lambasted by people that target them regularly
  5. I treat it like a crawdad. It’s a grub body with two flappers. They eat it!!!
  6. I love my aluminum canoe. If I had to just have a single boat, it would probably be a canoe . I’d love an old town guide 147 probably even more than my alumacraft because they slide over rocks in rapids instead of slamming into them. Aluminum is very light and surprisingly stable tho I do love these things, just bought one after reading this thread. Helps a lot on the long days
  7. Part of me hopes I never catch a Muskie, they have by far the most criticism on this topic. I will probably just lay down next to it so I can prove I caught it
  8. I nearly killed over when I got into a hornets nest when I was 8. Scary. And epipen costs way too much glad you got away from those things
  9. Usually 9-10. Been known to doze off not long after dark in winter, which is about 6. I try not to work (or do much of anything) after dark
  10. There have been three or four places along my recent daily work route where I have to drive through a stretch where persimmons have landed all over the street also, I forgot about pawpaws
  11. I saw a bunch of dead fish washed up onto the beach in the gulf, that’s about my only experience. I bet there were just as many fish tagging along behind eating what died
  12. Only one way to find out! I just know a bunch of folks that throw WP a ton, it can be effective to change it up (says me who always throws a worm). Something with a different sound maybe. Also I’ve seen some fairly picky fish in clear water attack a fluke many times
  13. Pretty cool!! Weirdest I ever caught was a crappie
  14. It depends on what you are trying to spell
  15. I watched some of the bills dolphins game and you could see steam when they showed the sidelines
  16. What did ya make, chicken?
  17. I was in bass pro yesterday and my wife grabbed my arm and her eyes were huge. I thought she lost her wallet or something. She says “did you feel that?” I had no clue what she was talking about. Then a few seconds later she said the same thing and sure enough there was a small earthquake with epicenter in gatlinburg
  18. I usually reach for a curly tail grub when they are chasing like that. Also, have you tried any top waters besides a whopper plopper ?
  19. Nah, I fry fish all the time. I don’t want anyone abusing the fish or anything, but killing a few fish doesn’t damage any of my fisheries what I have experienced more often is nosy people telling other people they can’t keep legal fish and that they are holding them all wrong. I had a buddy that was wading carry a smallmouth that he was going to release over to his backpack to measure it. A guide hollered at him that he can’t keep that fish. He wasn’t going to keep it anyhow, but it was 18” and he legally could have. He was also mad he was walking around with it, classic case of someone not minding their own business. My buddy now has an aversion to fishing guides because of that experience
  20. I went searching for a hurricane out of Mexico beach, FLA with a boat captain named psycho Dave when I was like 9 years old. Somehow I didn’t puke and we caught tons of bonito
  21. Man, that’s rough. Glad to hear you are back at it!!!
