Eating trash fish...
Put em in your lap! just kidding, easiest is bring a cooler half full of ice and chuck them in there. Stringer works great too but slows a kayak way down

Canoe keeps turning backwards
The wind can carry the front more easily if it’s not level. If he’s 3x your weight, the nose of the boat is probably sticking up out of the water and catching wind. I would somehow try to even the weight out, a level boat paddles much more easily. Maybe put all the gear , cooler, and anchor up near where you sit

Alabama Bass vs Spotted Bass
They are both delicious. Local game and fish is scared of the Alabama bass, they prefer anglers eat them all. Hooray for me

Had an awesome weekend camping in NC. My wife and 4 friends did a 14 mile hike from cades cove in TN to a backcountry campsite in the great smoky mountains national park on the Carolina side. They need a ride from the campsite across the lake to a highway for extraction, that’s where I come in haha. Since I’ve got a boat for the shuttle, they send all the heavy camping gear with me. I launched a little after noon on Saturday, fish were biting the little green worm pretty well. I think I caught 2 smallies and 8 spotted bass, which have no limit. I had the spots filleted and ready to cook once all the hikers arrived at the campsite, they were thrilled about that. The campsite was absolutely covered in toads! They were calling loudly and breeding everywhere. While washing some dishes in the creek with a headlamp, I noticed some big white bass swimming around in the shallows. The next morning while hanging out around camp, I figured why not toss a fluke around nose hooked. The white bass would follow it around and dart towards it on occasion, but were tricky to get to bite. I finally hooked one and my wife was nearby to take a photo

Traditional Ned Rig, whose given up and now just fishes Ned sized baits
- What was your PB caught on?
The best bass fishing weather!- What was your PB caught on?
LM : 3 fish that were 8 ish pounders, Texas rig , silver buddy, and buzz bait SM: 6 ish with half a night crawler. Two fish probably pushing 6 with a rattle trap (avatar pic) and a tube- Traditional Ned Rig, whose given up and now just fishes Ned sized baits
The Fish tend to disagree, it’s one of the stickiest rigs I fish for sure. They are usually hooked really well in the top jaw, I’ve had to destroy the hook many times to get it out of the roof of their mouth that’s a 4” zoom dead ringer, it’s very thin. I use the same hook with finesse worm and it also is very sticky, though the finesse worm is a little thicker than the dead ringer- Any interest in trapping?
I sent my buddies this photo today and one of them replied with this GIF hahah- Any interest in trapping?
