Holy smokes !!!! In the teens???

I’ve eaten them from south Florida to northern Michigan and several places in between, always the same. I’ve also fed them to dozens of people that thought they weren’t fit to eat, they typically end up saying it’s the best fish they’ve ever had I honestly think people want them (in their minds) to taste differently from different places, but they don’t . It’s like those blind taste tests where they give people the exact same food and tell them one is more expensive. They always say the more expensive one taste better when in reality it was all the same food on two different plates

Bass is delicious, if it tastes bad you did something wrong (usually it’s a pre conceived notion that it’s going to taste bad) Agree to disagree, I think they are awesome and will continue to kill them until I’m dead or physically unable

I’ve never been to Iowa, but I’ve heard there’s some rolling hills. I’d probably call just about anything in the Midwest flat land

I’ve been in the boat with a 5 year old that was slaying with a spinnerbait while I was skunked My buddy that’s new to fishing brought one of the new ones and brought it on my boat. I didn’t realize they were still made. He threw it in a log jam and mister big smallie pummeled that plug!! Pretty cool

I’ve only been fishing an underspin for about 2 months but I catch a fish every single time I put it down and grab something else I’ve noticed , mainly on this forum and a YouTube channel or 3, that winter fishing in Texas can be pretty bad. Those water temps are money in the bank where I fish. I think smallmouth is the X factor, they love a “cold” day in the south a small fluke style bait on a jig head is a good option for me in those circumstances
