We still do that with Christmas trees but less that 240 and in a cow pasture instead of on a pond

I found an old video of some bass Tom foolery on the fly rod . Circa august 2014. I love fly for bluegill and crappie but it’s just a pain for bass (for me personally). There are times, mostly all summer, when it is very effective though. I’ve got a buddy that is a full time fly guide and he puts people on nice smallies all spring summer and early fall, lots of sight fishing and top water

I’ve done a whole lot of wading, even for a living as a trout guide, and never been in a bad situation. You can have all kind of things that you think might save you, I prefer to use my brain and stay out of these scenarios we wade/swim some backwaters with no cell service whatsoever so you don’t go alone in case of broken legs or something wading in winter is a lot like ladders or roofs, slipping and falling is not an option

Which kind have you been using? I go through a dry spell from time to time but they are fairly user friendly for me. Maybe it’s somehow a bad area/situation where you are trying them?

We have some skunk hats, it takes two pelts to make one and they are still tiny
