Groundhogs are all gone??? I thought that was well beyond impossible then again we have a whole bunch of everything. but seriously I always put groundhogs in the same category as cockroaches, they live through anything.

That’s a sweet rack!! I never had good dry storage at my old cabin so the best way to get dry wood was go out and bust open a big round piece. Now I have a carport and back porch to store plenty of dry wood, and no fireplace haha

Well, had an ok 2 hours but could have been better. Skipjack herring were jumping all over creation and we chased them down river for a mile or so, they are fast. I used one of them as cut bait and it got hit a couple times but didn’t hook up . Got a smallie and sauger while waiting, a huge smallie was trying to fight mine on the way in

Got a skipjack, a sauger, and a smallmouth. Used the skipjack head as bait and something smacked it a time or two but didn’t hook up. Got carried away chasing skipjack, they were jumping the entire width of the river a few times my feet are still cold and I put wool socks on after work haha

That’s one of the main reasons I don’t toss TRD, because it’s all anyone ever throws Ah yes but it survives. Any creature learns to avoid or respond to pressures being applied to them. A deer doesn’t “think” or “reason” to run away when it smells something. But by golly when the scent hits his nose, he gone. Instinct. Same with the bass, they might be hungry but eventually the associate the boat noise, lures, etc with danger
