  1. I think my brother sent me a picture of the perfect hat for this thread
  2. The worst ones I’ve see were in Alaska, water everywhere skeeters everywhere. I’ve also nearly had mental breakdowns when they were eating me in Alabama and South Carolina. I hate those things. interestingly, it’s CO2 that draws them in so all you have to do is stop breathing and they won’t bite you ………..
  3. He indeed has a family and they travel along with him to several events
  4. I’ve got hair where the mesh part is, top of the head not so much….. hahaha
  5. I don’t know you ventured onto the water’s surface . Nice work and nice boat
  6. It depends on who you ask and what people’s politics are.
  7. Aw heck that things just getting started. My favorite spinning reel is probably 20 years old. My buddy gave it to me after he found it under the seat of his truck, said it had to have been in there 5-6 years. And his buddy had given it to him. Abu Garcia cardinal, works flawlessly and is beat to a pulp . also I now see why your wife always catches bigger fish. She’s worried about catching fish and you’re worried about aesthetics
  8. As useful as the Google machine can be, I prefer talking directly to individuals with real life experience. There’s a lot of misleading info out there now if google takes you to bassresource.com, you’ve done it right!
  9. His gas motor died and he trolled nine miles with a lead acid battery 12v troller
  10. Sorry just now seeing this and I would guess you are correct, northern banded water snake (nerodia spp.)

  13. Oh man, sending our condolences your way. Good boy Teddy
  14. The legal limit on walleye is 16” so it was that walleye’s lucky day. Water temp 66-67, making a cool looking fog
  15. I don’t even like traveling 1 hour away, I hope I never see Japan haha
  16. Them biguns just know how to get away the typical knee jerk reaction is to claim the brand of hook/rod you were using was garbage and never buy that brand again. I prefer blaming the weather!
  17. No I’m in TN, mostly very small streams choked out with rhododendron so rod is typically not super important because you are usually fishing very close quarters and not casting far
  18. June bug is what I always call purple
  19. That should be normal , although a doozy can turn it to chocolate for about a day (the river that is). Fontana stays clear no matter what
  20. When is this fishing going down?
  21. I’ve never actually fished the sections of river in question so I’m far from the authority on the subject. Finesse worm Rigged somehow weedless would be excellent about anywhere though
  22. Drag a tube/grub along while the wind blows you around, it should end up in a smallmouth at some point ! I always like fishing rock cliffs when casting for smallmouth
