  1. That’s why the backlash, a bunch of people never experience it so they just pile on the messenger . I don’t use elaztech for other reasons (it melts and reacts with all kinds of stuff, don’t really want that in my boat or in the water) but I’ve seen many smallies come from super deep water with the ned rig down in the throat. Not in the gills, always swallowed in that soft part down the middle. I would imagine they swallow the max scent because it smells stronger than other scented baits
  2. David Dudley said the same thing about ned rig and got lots of backlash but I’ve personally seen it first hand many times with the ned, my buddies deep hook smallies with ned all winter long. It wouldn’t surprise me with something maxed out with scent
  3. That largemouth could capsize my vessel
  4. You need some better friends!
  5. Direct tie. It takes me half a day to open those clips, I can tie a clinch knot that holds 30 lb stripers in less than 10 seconds I would guess
  6. Ole John will be smiling either way
  7. I have an 18’ duracraft aluminum, it takes a lickin and keeps on tickin
  8. The Berkley gulp grub, berkley cane walker, the heddon super spook BOYO, and the TH marine wooden canoe paddle
  9. I ❤️ my carport……. I would wait for a dry day to cover it I suppose, covering it wet seems like a rolling mosquito hotel. I’ve heard a box fan under the cover works wonders
  10. You are correct, I’ve tweaked my back and dropped them both haha. I load up a lot of canoes and kayaks at my weekend jobs, and of course usually loading them up when I’m off work too. I can get the Jackson kayak (somewhere around 90 lbs) onto the rack in the bed of my truck solo but I wouldn’t dare try it on a car/suv alone. I can lean it against the rack and just slide it on And pictured below are the back tweaking days
  11. There’s a ramp south of me about 6 miles where people set up lawn chairs and fish off the launch. You have to bump them out of the way with your boat trailer
  12. (Most) Humans care about nothing but more money. We are far too dumb to control the weather
  13. I think my Brother cooks them frequently
  14. Here’s hoping for some cool shark pics with the boys!
  15. Mmmmmm tog ….. be sure to set some aside for me in the freezer
  16. I remembered them being pretty slippery! I found the pic from 2017, don’t tell my lady I posted this online hahahaha. But it rode solid as can be on the factory bars with some help from pool noodles about 1,600 miles or so
  17. I keep mine bare bones to make more room for all the drum (well that and loading/unloading is a lot quicker)
  18. The Subaru Outback rails come out and pivot to make cross bars. I took a canoe to south Florida on my moms outback. My brother has the cross trek and it didn’t have that same feature so I think he just bought some cross bars (cough just get a truck cough cough)
  19. Yeah buddy! Just nose hook it. When you use the tube as the sinker, somehow the whole rig becomes useless though
  20. Yeeeee haw
  21. Go state!
  22. Should be lots o largemouth around there
  23. I nearly burned the palms of my hands on a roof yesterday. I always remember gloves about halfway up the roof and the gloves are in the truck
