  1. Wow that’s pretty awesome looking. (Although I know it gets old)
  2. We used to pull it all apart and throw it at each other as kids. It’s like the consistency of brains or something! Very gross haha
  3. Bryozoan, not eggs. A single cell organism.
  4. Sourdough mainline to a beer cheese leader
  5. They law......... I’m going to need some cheese and a few minutes alone with those pretzels
  6. They were frozen and we baked them. Surprisingly tasty
  7. Kind of reminds me of my boat
  8. Malt vinegar last night. Hot sauce is also good
  9. Man they stock monster trout in your lakes!
  10. I would say jerkbait but that may not fly in a cypress swamp. Maybe a fluke instead, and keep after the jig bite. If it falls down enough stumps a bass will eventually slurp it . When I fish cypress down south I use weightless stick worm to avoid hangups
  11. For some reason when I woke up today I felt like I should target smallmouth instead of white bass or trout. I was driving upstream and passed the massive school of white bass without stopping.............. (rare for me) .............. and then I saw an impressive sunrise and knew it would be a good day On my way upstream I saw some repeated splashing like something was busting a shad. I decided to cut the motor and investigate with the jerkbait (rattlin rogue). First cast and BLAM! 19” fat smallmouth. Decided to target smallies and that happens on first cast?? I nearly retired for the day but glad I didn’t. (^same fish in both those pics ) After taking pictures and measurements I motor back upstream to try that again and hook up, a 17-18” looking smallmouth jumps off. A few more drifts and no luck, my buddies say they are upriver a ways so I drive up there to listen to the basketball game with them. They start catching fish immediately while beached to let the dog run, dragging bottom baits. I figure I’ll try the jerkbait, nice fat 17.9999” smallmouth bites it. We floated down a ways, my buddies catching some smaller fish and I hooked up a big one on a jointed swimbait that pulled off. Picked the rogue back up and got dinner ! my buddies took off and I tried dragging one more spot with one of @Bluebasser86shakey heads and hooked up another 19” (^same fish in the last two pics ) got soaked With rain on the way back to the ramp but it was worth it
  12. All of them work very well. I used some rage tail crappie grubs one time and they were thumping them! Menace is my favorite so far
  13. Only got to fish maybe 1 full hour but they were chomping . Used a spoon I found in an antique tackle box my fiancé’s mom bought on Lake Michigan
  14. Mine seems all good! The extender on your boat was most likely created to make the boat run shallower, I’d base your decision on what motor and where you fish. They also might have had a 20” shaft outboard and the extension was to marry that up
  15. theres was some snow up top along the TN/NC border last weekend
  16. I just got done redoing mine, I haven’t painted the wood (yet). I just had to take it fishing! I think I saw marine grade paint at ace hardware last time I was in there. I’m hoping to paint mine red if I can find one to somewhat match the original color (1957)
  17. @flyfisher......... good gracious...........
  18. Thanks! I have more from that day of exploring but in the spirit of the topic heading I’ll just leave the one for today. I also found a picture of that waterfall frozen online when I looked up how tall it is
  19. Went into NC last weekend to do some hiking and the good ole gate across the road had other plans. But we found a waterfall and some other cool stuff! This was mingo falls at 120 feet tall
  20. Gotcha , thanks. Jerkbait is always a good lure
