  1. I wore long sleeves to work yesterday and I thought I was going to have to cut myself out of my shirt with a pocket knife. I’d rather wear sunscreen but I sweat a lot more than most people
  2. Try some 10 lb mono instead of braid and see if that helps. It’s hard to go wrong dragging a worm on the bottom
  3. “It’s a formidable scent....... it stings the nostrils” -Ron burgundy
  4. That will work wonders in a pond
  5. I just wish I could wear long pants and long sleeves in august.......
  6. It makes inactive bass bite, no doubt about it
  7. I love how the one lady sets her purse down to start dancing
  8. here’s another version of the same song by a family bluegrass band I’ve been listening to
  9. I do. I buy cheap cast nets because I tear them up and lose them in fast water below dams sometimes. Shad tanks, there are several brands usually $400 and up. You can make your own with a big blue plastic barrel, pump, hoses, and filter. The filter material is key if you want to keep them alive for more than a day. Rock salt helps keep the shad alive and coffee creamer keeps all the foam to a minimum. Also make sure your tank is round as shad will bury their nose in 90 degree corners and swim themselves to death. I use a 5 gallon bucket and my live well for simplicity purposes
  10. So was my grandad, Wise, Virginia more specifically. He was killed working on a coal train when my dad was fairly young. There’s probably lyrics to a country and western song in there somewhere .........
  11. Many of my family members and plenty of other families in the area survived for years and years on soup beans
  12. We catch them on worms and creature baits, or trolled cranks . They always seem to be on the bottom during daylight
  13. As Tennessee fans, we have learned to always be prepared for a swift kick to the groin. We have checkerboard orange and white athletic supporters at the ready.......
  14. I’ve got a forever home on the lake (Although I don’t live there yet) and I will gladly invite anyone to skip away and hit the dock or boat. It’s never been a problem and it’s a very highly pressured lake. the dock has been there since the early 90s and wake boats are the enemy, not skipping fishermen. Zero damage in 20 years from fishermen, crazy boat slamming and erosion from big boat waves. All the neighbors have had to buy rip rap to curb erosion problems, I may have to do the same one day
  15. Well they got close anyway..... (I didn’t look it up). The rivalry and game itself is called “the third Saturday in October” but it’s had to be a week off a few times over the years. I think only the Georgia/auburn rivalry is older as far as SEC games, I’m surprised they moved it early into the season but a lot of shuffling had to be done I guess
  16. Down here the air is a moisturizing lotion haha
  17. 1.5 weeks later mostly healed
  18. I had to cut a gulp minnow off a jig head yesterday that I forgot about with a pocket knife ha ha
  19. Yeah, in grass the thicker the better. You can’t pull fish out of grass with light line or light rod. Well you can but eventually it will end badly
  20. Yeah that’s quite the burning sensation.
  21. Love the steeldrivers . I shall let someone else answer the trivia as I have seen them play many times back when
  22. In grass I throw it on 65 straight braid
  23. I aim to try it a lot between now and Christmas as our milfoil in the Downtown area hangs around through fall. I threw it in grass beds in Alabama during a shad spawn But the gar wouldn’t leave it alone
  24. Use tube jigs, bring lots of extra tube jigs, and charge your trolling batteries
