  1. I had to get New brakes and the rotors turned on my truck today but lucky for me, my buddy Dave offered me a boat ride. Slow start with big waves on my offshore stuff, we had to find some sheltered areas. Caught a lot of 1 lb bass and saw loons. Finally right before dark, the waves were a little smaller and we were able to fish offshore (thanks to Dave’s big boat and 101 lb thrust driving skills). I got a 17 &3/4” on my poor mans shakey head and one pushing 20” (board stopped at 18) On a spoon edit: my buddy just sent me the pics of the two bigger ones. Top two pics are the same Two fish laying on the measuring Board
  2. Sounds to me like a lot of people don’t like the show. Just an observation. If I was writing/producing a tv show, I would want people to enjoy it Be careful saying things like that...... people get all mad at you for having an opinion.......
  3. 1) Dodge Ram short bed no camper shell 2) no fishing gear stays in truck (someone will take it) 3) n/a 4) pipe wrench, hammer, hydraulic jack, jumper cables. Thieves never take stuff they might have to do work with
  4. We are talking about different waters..... mountain streams in East Tennessee that are loaded with smallies all summer are a ghost town right now. Just got done fishing one, zilch
  5. Oh dear that’s not the good kind of sweating. I hope everyone gets rid of that ASAP
  6. In winter I just ditch the river and go downstream into the “reservoirs”
  7. I think it was a handgun, haha. Those things are indestructible! Honestly the wound from an arrow seems to be their kryptonite
  8. Wow. I like the idea of fiberglass mounts that last forever but that is far more realistic than any replica I have ever seen. Excellent catch and excellent taxidermy. I caught a 28” walleye once but it was really skinny and I ate it
  9. I have sweated through my clothes fishing the last two days
  10. This time of year it’s very common. We caught em good there all last winter from mid December to mid February. Then again a buddy sent me a picture of a big bag of smallmouth from a different lake yesterday also. Smallmouth and winter just go together like peanut butter and jelly around here
  11. Since this is a winter weather thread, there was a guy wakeboarding by us today
  12. Boxing Day, the best day of the year. Christmas is over and the smallies are hungry! 62 degree air (burning up!) and 54 degree water. Long day with not too many bites but got some good ones! My buddies were doing good with Ned rigs so I put a zoom dead ringer on an 1/8 oz head and thunk...... 18” fish. Release that one cast back out and thunk........ 20” fish . Also I forgot to mention there was a guy wakeboarding by us for a while
