  1. I think a jig/worm rod needs to be the most sensitive. I will add a 3rd glx to the quiver this winter If you want it to be more universal look to the GLX MBR 's
  2. Only a couple as I have been known to strip down and swim for my favorites. Last Summer I was lucky. I swam for one and the first after I dried off, I caught a new PB
  3. 2 years ago, I caught a rod. under a bridge, I caught a 2 lb bass....when I got it to the boat I saw there was another line attached.....to that was a kids spinning rod.....must have been dropped off the bridge. Funny as hell!
  4. Hard to answer as a lot of older motors don’t have hour meters on them. i average 150-200 hrs per year, and chose a Honda and paid a premium. Had a Yamaha been an option, i would have gone in that direction. If a mercury was the only option, it wouldn’t have changed my mind on the purchase. I would look to a Mercury owners group. My brother in-law is at 2000 hrs on his and is looking to trade it while it is still worth something!!!!!!!
  5. There is no substitute for experience and wind or curr are usually the biggest challenges. start with a good weather app, don’t feel that you have to run from point A to B. Be crea and use islands and protected areas as your friends. Try to use 90 degree angles when possible. look at YouTube for videos, there are a few
  6. Just pulled he trigger on 2......My nephew at BPS, said inventory was running thin and questioned how many would be around come the Holidays
  7. Compared to the cost of bullets......my other hobby........lures are cheap!
  8. Folks, Cabelas has these for 799.00. BPS said they might be down to 700 at the holidays with the release of new models. it seams to be a fair price, thinking of picking up 2. Anyone aware of better pricing? thanks Al
  9. Frabill should be going on sale soon......just keep googling
  10. When I used to be a tournament waterskeri, 5 of us purchased a new boat ever year and split all cost evenly. There were even provisions in the agreement that after the purchase, monthly maintenance was divided by hours used by the members. since the boat was purchased through a pro deal, it was sold every winter and profits went into a down payment on the next. Honorable men can do these things fairly easily
  11. I am still looking at 9/10 inch Garmins and Lowrange. I think Garmin is going to get the call. I am shopping as I type this note
  12. BPS told me yesterday to wait until Black Friday to take advantage of their upcoming sale.......just passing along what the electronics mgr told me
  13. If you can wait until Black Friday, you will usually get more for your money
  14. My buddy and I have found that many times, if they hit the small JB, they will hit the larger ones too. I throw 110, he throws 78, and my ratio is significantly higher than his. Of course there can be plenty of reasons, but it is common
  15. I am sure other will chime in, but you are making a good argument for braid to FC leader and perhaps overestimating the eyesight of the fish
  16. Protein bars and cheese and crackers that usually get eaten on the way back to the dock
  17. It works as advertised, but there are several brands that fit the bill. Before I went to braid, Tatsu was my FC choice as it was much more manageable
  18. If you buy garmon, buy the navionics app for your phone.........
  19. Not to confuse you furthered, but I do love Gamma too
  20. 832 on spinning gear as it sinks better than most and most of my presentations from spinning gear are sub-surface Edit: I am surprised you only got 2 yrs out of it. You can always swap ends and this year fish with the "dark" end
  21. I never thought buying batteries was going to be so complicated and thanks to Ajay things are falling into place. My buddy just went with 3 of these for 675.00. Looks like a pretty good deal given the AH's http://www.trojanbattery.com/product/overdrive-agm-31/
