  1. I use those very same Gammy's in 6/0 and they work just fine when using them on 10" worms.
  2. I've been using Seaguar Carbon Pro in 15lb Test the last year and thus far I like it for fishing football jigs and large soft plastics.
  3. The Heddon Zara spook Jr. fished on 10lb test. I could fish it fast and peacock bass in south Florida absolutely crush it.
  4. A powell 805cb and the Daiwa zillion crazy cranker....the little lady did good ;D
  5. I've had a Powell 705c for a little over a year and absolutely love it. I use it to throw football jigs and larger sized plastics (Mag Fluke ,10 in worms..etc) and it gets the job done at a good price. You wont be disappointed with a Powell 705c as a dedicated jig rod.
  6. I'm guessing that it stands for Twin Cities.

thats for the quick replies guys. If anyone else has any more recommendations on hook sizes for Gamakatsu Splitshot/Dropshot hooks feel to put in your .02 cents.
  8. What's the best size hook for nose hooking 6" roboworms? would a size 4 Gamakatsu Finesse Wide Gap Hook do the trick or should I use a different size?

  11. Give snapper creek right off of sunset drive a try.
  12. I curse the day i picked the 201 over the 101, Unless you need it for any techniques that require a greater line capacity i would just stick with the 100.
  13. I've fished with both reels and i would definitely go with the curado 100 over the citica. The curados feel much smoother and in my opinion sturdier than the citicas.
  14. Thanks for the advice Fourbizzle and sorry for not mentioning that i wouldnt be throwing those giant swimbaits you guys use out west. I planned on using it for The ROF shad which according to the website weights 1/2 oz and the mattlures baby bluegill is only supposed to weigh 1.9 ounces this rods supposed to be rated for baits up to 1 1/2 ounces. still dont think the rod would cut it?
  15. I was considering getting a 7'2" MH team all star big boyand pairing it with a Shimano Cardiff for throwing swimbaits like mattlures baby Bluegill and Huddlestons ROF series swim baits. Does anyone on the site have any experience with this setup and would it be suitable for throwing swimbaits and jigs?
  16. i bought a premiere and it well very well taken care of and i still managed to have the blank brake on me after a hook set. i Sent it back to cabelas they were gracious enough to refund my money and i went to BPS and just bought an avid. Stick with the avids.
  17. NO softplastic bait is THAT good. not 59 bucks good.
  18. Ii use my sol for nothing but throwing cranks and smaller spinnerbaits and i absolutely love the thing. The line capacity has never been an isue with me.
  19. its a quantum accurist PT reel.
  20. i was considering purchasing a 7 foot medium action BPS prolite finesse rod because i could get one for about 60 bucks,i considered getting a st croix avid spinning rod as i already have a st croix avid casting rod and really like but at this point in my life the avid even on sale is still way out of budget. can anybody tell me anything about the quality of the BPS prolite finesse rods and if it is suitable to fish soft plastics with it.
