37 and sunny, I’m loving it. It’s breezy out but not the warm breeze we need to really ramp up the melting, but I’ll take what we get right now.

Supposed to get one inch over night......we ended up with 4. ?

Today was the first day since February 4th we’ve been about 30. 1-2” overnight for us. After the snow tonight we’ll have had 30” of snow this month.

If you’re throwing lures not meant for bass and catch a bass you’ll be fine. If you’re throwing bass lures you’ll have a hard time convincing a CO you’re not bass fishing.

The warming trend here isn’t going to be as warm as predicted last week, but it’s still going to be above freezing. The overnight lows are still going to be pretty cold though.

I want to get rid of Dish, but we only pay around $110/month (granted there are only about 4-5 channels we watch). We just use our phones for internet so if we cut Dish we’d need to get internet which is around $60/month then find what we want for streaming services. I am quite sick of paying all that money to watch just 4 or 5 channels and 3/4 the time there isn’t ? on those channels. I could watch YouTube and be content. Question: Do you need a smart TV to use streaming services? We don’t have a smart TV but it’s an updated TV that’s only 2 years old.

How much snow do you guys have on the ground? We have about 18” in most spots. I hope the warm temps put a good hurting on the snow so the sun can get to that ice sooner than later. The overnight lows are still going to be pretty cold so the melt won’t be as fast as I’d like. Warm night, warm sunny windy days are on my wish list right about now.

The skunk is a part of life here, I don’t let it get to me. I embrace the skunk, and welcome the skunk. I even thought about painting my boat black and white with the words ‘le pew’ in big letters across the transom!

I have an Eagle 175, but my lakes are small so I don’t experience rough water. The worst I’ve been in was a windy day, on a holiday weekend, with all the boat traffic it got pretty “rough” for our area. I decided to see how she handled. It cut through the boat wakes, and waves pretty good and we stayed dry. I’m sure if this helps at all. I do know one thing, I sure wouldn’t take it out on the Great Lakes.

While waiting for my groceries to be loaded this morning I was watching Edwin Evers YouTube channel the video was “Prespawn 101”. He was talking about gear ratio and said if you don’t have a low speed reel all you have to do is fill the spool of your high speed reel half way and this’ll slow your high speed reel down. I’m not looking to do this since I’m good on low speed reels but I’ve never heard of this and was wondering how this works?

That explains why we’ve been seeing plenty more sunny days around here, not too much open water to make clouds. This helps two fold. 1: Seeing the sun even if it’s sun zero sure helps everyone’s mood, a person can only take so much grey gloomy days. 2: The sun will help melt some of this snow. Right now we have anywhere from 12-18” on the ground. It’s nice and pretty for the average person, but for myself and my coworkers who have to walk through it, it’s a PITA, and very gassing. So hopefully this sun will melt some of this. As I’m writing this the weather guesser is saying another 2-4” over the weekend. ?

I complain about the winters, but that’s because that’s all there is to do in the winter is complain about the winter! Michigan is a pretty good state to live in, there are four seasons albeit some way shorter than others depending on the year. There’s a lake around almost every corner, and some decent fishing too. The place I’ve said in the past I could move to is NW Nebraska, the only issue with that is there aren’t any lakes around, so I’ll stay put.

Tuesday high of 44 and winds maxing out at 35 mph. Melt that snow wind!

It is currently 27 degrees warmer this morning than yesterday. It’s a balmy 10. ?

To be fair we did get 8” of snow Monday night and it slowed our Tuesday morning work commute down a tad. Things were good by lunch though. ? Seriously though, you guys stay safe down there and let’s hope you thaw out pretty soon!

The Pugs did their business real quick and came right back in, Hank on the other hand seems to have lost his marbles. He kept begging to go out. I sat and watched waiting by the door for the frozen paw dance but it never happened. He just walked around in his own little world eating snow. ?
