If it is indeed broke which is sounds like it might be from what I’ve researched it won’t be cheap and is a PITA to fix. My wife had a Fusion and last winter I thought I broke one of hers because only one worked, so I started researching how to fix it. It turned out it was still frozen and a couple glasses of hot water cured it.

Interesting, I too thought the Striker units were just 7CV or 7SV. The added 3 I thought meant inland lakes and the 4 meant coastal waters. Pretty shady to muddy the waters on those units.

I’ve fished a couple before, but not much, that was before I really started fishing jigs. They did seem like quality jigs. He used to have a shop in Sparta but I never went in and checked it out. He’s no longer there and I think he just does it out of his house, since every time I drive by the 2k rig is sitting in the driveway.

I’d be moving in with Grandma and fish that thing every chance you get.

I’m not a big fish eater. If I do eat fish I prefer walleye. Fish doesn’t get any better than walleye. I’d like to try crappie next year. I’ve yet to have it.

We ended up with around 3 inches of the white stuff. The lake is starting to freeze over again.

I’ve been fortunate to have always worked the standard hours, so this is always hard to wrap my brain around. ? My BIL has done 2nd and 3rd shift over the years and has enjoyed a drink or two about the time I’m getting up. Just like when I’m heading in to work the bars are open and people are filling it (not now of course).

I’m looking at getting the same unit so I’ll be following to see what you come up with.

I don’t have rod tubes in my locker. I typically don’t fish more than 3-4 hours at a time so I don’t get to the point where discomfort becomes an issue. I’ve never fished a boat with a TM foot tray so I don’t know any different.

I just ordered some of these on the BF sale. I’m looking forward to trying them next summer.
