When I fished Lake Michigan I was fine on the lake. It was laying in bed that night that I went through all the waves all over again. Same thing happened when I used to ride roller coasters.

Even at work I can’t seem to keep myself out of trouble at home. The cat scared the crap out of the Mrs. by bring this up from the basement. She heard a bunch of commotion and saw the cat playing with this. 😂 I’m not sure how she got it, but maybe she’s trying to tell me something for my next trip out.

@Jar11591 I knew what you meant. Black flies and knats are terrible too. If I had to pick one though at least from a fishing standpoint in northern Michigan, mayflies take the cake!

Mayflies are the worse! Probably a bit early for mayflies in Northern Michigan though.

The opposite. You want your transducer level. However, when your idling around your bow is going to rise, so, you want to tilt the aft end up slightly. There are videos explaining how to do this.

Our season in my unit goes from mid April until the end of May. I’ve hunted in upper 80’s low 90’s before and you’re right, it’s not enjoyable.

Wash, rinse, and repeat from our previous outing. We heard a ton of toms gobbling and they kept it up after flying down. This time we could hear them moving away from us and we couldn’t get them to come in. This late in the game I’m feeling like our window is closing.

I see what you’re talking about. I’m watching it now and it’s horrible! Tucker Smith just caught an 8-12 and the scale wouldn’t lock in and his Marshalls arms were shaking holding the fish up for so long. 😂

I had to opposite experience with Wolverine boots. They lasted maybe 6 months. Thankfully my best friend’s wife works for Wolverine so I got a steep discount otherwise I would’ve been ticked. I used to wear Carhardt and those lasted two years and I bought another pair. I believe I got them for around $120 and I’d say those are the best boot in that price range. A previous company I worked for gave us a $250 boot voucher each year so I ordered a pair of Justin boots. I have a pair of square toe western boots that are Justin and they were great! The work boots are going on their fourth year. Break-in was about 3-4 days. I don’t wear them as much now. I’m back to my western boots. My son has Ariat square toe western and he loves them and they’ve held up pretty good. I bought a pair of their steel toed western work boot and I’m not sold on them. All my boots are steel or composite toed. When it comes to boots you truly get what you pay for in my experience.

This hawk has been working on this decoy for over three hours now.

One of the markets I’m building at work is Grand Haven, Mi. A couple days a week I’ll go to the pier to eat lunch and watch the boats head out to Lake Michigan. Some of the boats are well over a million and they’re out of the water 5-6 months out of the year! That probably goes for their houses too. Crazy money.

To be fair, they’re relatively new and with anything new you tweak things in hopes of making it better. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t so you teak it again. BASS has been around forever and they’ve changed things over the years to try and make things better. They haven’t changed things in quite a while, but now a ton of people are wanting a change regarding FFS. At the end of the day some people like change and others don’t. Can’t make everyone happy.
