  3. Sounds great. Keep up the good work.
  4. I thought we had the new menu at the Mexican resturant down town there for a minute
  5. Congrats on the new boat. I would go with shimano reel and rod combos One Med-Heavy 7'6" long bait caster, one 7' Med-heavy,7'med all in bait caster. 7' med, 6'6" med, and 6'6" light-med in spinning. Matched with either a curado or a citica.
  6. Welcome to the site.
  7. Sorry to hear about the personal best but sounds like you still had a good day.
  8. Welcome to the site.
  9. I've had a few sprains that look as bad as that so I know I wouldn't have gone. I would have been like you and wished I had but you did the right thing. Trying to walk on that would have made it worse. So ice it down wrap it up and start wearing ankle braces or ace bandages that is what I do.
  10. Congrats on the new job. It is a whole lot easier going to work when you like the work. Have fun this summer and jsut watch out for the bait monkey he likes to lurk around places like that.
  11. I like to use baitcasting for my flipping and pitching and topwater. I own both and can use both pretty well I am more accurate with my baitcaster but that is from using it more because of comfort. I also feel like I have more feel for what the bait is doing with my baitcaster than with my spinning reel. JMHO.
  12. Green pumpkin for clear and black/blue for muddy water rattle only in muddy water.
  13. Ihave two main bags that I carry with me to work at least 3 times a week to go through and rearrange things in it. The rest of the time I have a rod in there practicing pitchin and flippin. The joys of working nights by myself. ;D
  14. Welcome to the site. Have ou tried using small cranks? through the same area you are using the curly tail grubs.
  15. I would start with a buzzbait in the morning around the cover and switch to working a crankbait or a spinnerbait around the stumps after the sun got up a little. More info would be a big help but this would be a good start.
  16. Mine is a spinnerbait white or white/char. with a single willow.
  17. Congrats on some good fish and a new PB.
  18. That was great. I was setting in my chair at work and about fell out backwards.
  19. Congrats. Getting it over with is alwasys a good feeling and good luck in college.
  20. Congrats on a great three hours of fishing and that fish would eat some of the big fish winner in tournaments up here. ;D
  21. That is one dedicated fisherman.
  22. Congrats can't wait to hear how they work.
  23. I have been stuck on shore like you up until this year so I never had the option of going deep so I always found the thickest cover and would work baits as close to it as I could. shallow running cranks, small spinners, and small worms and other soft plastics. You will find that it might be a little more search envolved than you would normally have to do but there are still fish up shallow. I also like to be out there either early in the morning or late in the day and work a top water before the sun gets to high up. I hope this helps good luck.
  24. Welcome to the site and the great sport of fishing. . ON the new Rod and reel which kind do you want spinning bait casting or a closed face reel. With being new to the sport I would either go with a closed face reel or a spinning reel. Most Walmarts will have good reels to choose from and Bass Pro sells alot of combo deals that are fairly reasonable.
