  1. I was on the pro staff for Callaway Golf for about 10 years, free clubs, bags, shoes, balls etc. Had a contract every year. Was guaranteed XXXX$ every Tournament I won , I never cashed a check from them, but did have the best equipment that money can buy. I did have to wear their apparel and I did too I am sure some got more and some less

  8. if you have 30 and paid back 10 places, 100 bucks per = 3000, 1000 first, 500 2nd 250 3rd , 200 4th , 150 5th 100 6th-10th would leave 500 for biggest fish winner needs to get the largest part, I am not for the everyone gets a trophy thing, winning needs to mean something IMO
  9. The spool will not hold as much on the SV , the reels are the same size I believe, however I do not own a type R

  14. I love this forum. I read it every day. Water temps, different lures, different colors, different times of the year all come into play. But you have to know where the fish are, that is the key to catching bass all year long. Sure sometimes the bite is tough. If you know where they are some of them will bite. When you learn where they are fishing becomes easy. All the hot licks in your tackle box are no good if the fish are on the other side of the lake. Granted experience has a key role in knowing where the Bass are hanging out. A little common sense will get you on the fish , get out every chance you can and soon you will look at a body of water and have a good idea where to cast and where to let the other guy fish.
  15. caught this one this pm on a homemade frog sorry for the poor pic casting left handed and trying to take a pic with my junk right hand is a real pain forgot the pic of the frog I caught a couple pounders after the one pictured
  16. I think yawl need to go fishing once in a while
  17. A SV103 will all but eliminate back lashes if set up correctly. And that is a fact
  18. Bass are dumb when the bite is on and when the bite is not so good some think they are smart. I think they are just fish and I can catch em most of the time
  19. well here goes my 2 cents, I have a Curado and a 70 both good reels, I have 3 Tatula SV TW 103 s , Great reels, and 4 Tatula CTs I like the Tatulas hands down. Very easy to fish with. I can cast the Tatulas without using my thumb. Try that with the Shimanos and you will be pulling the pocket knife out

  21. Don't worry about the lure dropping , just trust the braking system It will stop the spool just try as I have stated , but start with the brakes on 10 and back off from there. maybe someone else will chime in that has a Tatula sv tw 103 and know how to set it up, they may be able to explain better than me
