  1. Dang tooting, brand new in the box I expect that the mark up on reels is 100% for a lot of sellers
  2. I have never seen a bass fisherman that wouldn't stretch it a bit to make the story a bit better Like we caught them yesterday.
  3. I been trying to cast left handed , not much hope in that May have to go back to a 808 for time being , I can cast that left handed X Ray this past week MIR next week, a insurance thing
  4. Going to be in the 70s for the next few days I bet the Bass bite will really be on , sure wish I could go
  5. I have seen a lot of youngsters blame a lot of todays problems on the older generation, I am not sure this is altogether true I do think you have to fish a pond to have a good pond
  6. I have bought several reels from him, great seller and ships quick
  7. I was raised on a tobacco farm, I did not get an allowance , but did not go liking. Dad or Granddad would come through if I needed anything. when we were caught up on the farm, I would get a job working for other farmers. I would get paid $3.00 a barn for pulling tobacco , grown ups got $6 , handers got $2 and $4. I pulled just as much as they did , but that is how it was back then. I also picked up drink bottles 2 cent each trade or a penny cash. Oh and you could always pull a tooth, that was worth a dime to the tooth fairy Tough times but I wish they were like that now. The country has few problems back then. And about everyone fished. Folks don't seam to have time now.
  8. I was early to work Monday, A man came in with a mower that was having problems, would not steer. I was helping him get it off the trailer and got my feet tangled up and fell. Pulled a mussel loose on my right shoulder, 6 weeks at best until I can use it, if they don't have to operate. I am 61 and don't heal up as fast as I use to
  9. Yes, I think so , I am speaking of the Tatula 103s I hope I have not confused you
  10. the 103 comes in6.3-1 , 7.3-1 and 8.1-1 I have all three, The reel is not much larger than the Tatula CT of which I have 2. I have no problems with the 7.3-1 but the 6.3 -1 may make you a better all around reel. They can be had for $135 off ebay I also have a Shimano 70 , I like the CT and the 103 better than the 70
  11. Daiwa Tatula C T hands down best reel for under $100
  12. If there is a backlash proof reel, this is it. I have only been using a bait caster ford 6 months or so And I can fish these reels all day without having to pick out a birds nest. I started out with a Kastking , then another Kastking, then a Curado 200L and a 70, a KVD Tour Quantum , Then bought my first Tatula SV TW 103 Reel is great, bought 2 Tatula CTs also great reels. Then bought 2 more 103s I know I am a novice at this But I am a Daiwa guy now , More time fishing less time messing with the reel And you can change lure weights with no problems Leave a little end play in the spool and set the break at about 10 and back up on the brake until you like the distance you are getting without backlashing
  13. I have 3 , great reels , and cheap right now
  14. just make up some doe add some cotton and vanilla flavoring, the cotton holds the foe together and the flavoring help attract them
  15. I live in the boonies and hear all the sounds of nature, of course it is 30 miles to the nearest Hardies or wally world not a bad trade
  16. http://www.ebay.com/itm/New-Daiwa-Tatula-CT-Baitcast-Reel-Right-Hand-Select-Models-TACT100XS-100HS-100H-/152651571359?var=&epid=8003306986&hash=item238abe209f:m:m-lfibCCQ_O9bN9c-bAgcZQ
  17. Tatula CT you cant beat it for $85.00 shipped and the Tatula SV tw only $135 shipped I have 3 od the SVs and 2 of the CTs I am thinking of selling 2 Kastkings and a Quantum all in mint condition, may even sell the 200i and the 70 Shimanos
  18. We do title trailers here in VA unless it is farm use, don't think a boat trailer would be farm use
  19. Some of the biggest fish are caught in small ponds or lakes. Here in VA anyway
  20. Man is it just me or is everyone catching the devil out of Bass. I mean the bite is on in all the ponds and lakes around here. O have not been to Bugs , Briery or Sandy[ working 5 and a half days a week] but they are killing a deep water 1 oz black minnow with a willow blade only one treble hook in all the farm ponds I fish. If anyone knows what the name of this lure is let me know, I have no idea where I got it
  21. Well I will say 10% of the BASS fishermen catch 90% of the Bass, and 90% of the Bass fishermen buy 99% of the tackle. That should remove all doubt
