I know what I am going to do with mine that came Sat. Anyone looking for a pair almost new Kastkings and a Tour KVD 150 Quantum

Tatula SV
set the brakes at 10 and back off until you feel it is right for you, I leave just a little side play in the spool. If you start at 0 you will most likely have a back lash
-
Casting distance
If you get another one try like I said , you will be pleased, very consistent , almost impossible to back lash

Have you guys seen this thing?
Well as some of you know, I fell and hurt my shoulder, right one too, well I broke out the old 808 put on fresh line and went fishing. I can cast left handed with it. I forgot what a pleasure it was just to fish and not worry about line issues. My cast were all over the place , but I still caught fish. I am putting it back into service until I can cast right handed again. Who knows may even keep it in place of the line twisting, line hopping off spinning reels

Casting distance
per Daiwa instructions , you loosen the knob until the spool has a little side to side play, set the brake at 10 and back off from there until you have best distance wuth out any back lash

Casting distance
It depends on the type reel. A Tatula SV TW 103 does not adjust that way

12ft Jon
If it is under 36 inches wide At the bottom it is not very stable , 40 inches is better and 4 foot is great for a 12 footer . I fish out of a 12 foot 36 in wide at bottom you cant do a lot of standing up moving around in it.

Better to be a specialist or a generalist?
I think a generalist will catch more fish in the long run
