  8. This happened 50 plus years ago, Dad and I were going fishing one morning[ we had to move out a barn of tobacco that evening, so only the morning to fish] ,times were a little hard back then and we caught our in minnows. after what looked like forever catching the minnows we were on the way. About 2 miles before we got to the lake, their was a car on side of the road with smoke coming out from the interior of the car. Dad pulled over, the drivers seat was on fire, and you guessed it, Dad poured our minnows, water and all on the seat to put it out. No fishing that day. I still get POED every time I think of it.
  9. If it want for the smart girl setting in front of me in the 5th grade, I would still be there trying to pass spelling lol
  10. David Bennett Randolph VA Have you ever done any tight line fishing, for Rock Bass [ stripe Bass ] in Rivers I am lucky enough to live close to Roanoke river and the strippers run it on the way to spawn
  11. A used boat that did not have any leaks when I bought it. It wouldn't hold water in the yard when it rained
  12. Very nice work
  13. If he was a true friend of yours, I do not think you would have posted what he did. But I am a southern boy and look at things a bit different I guess
  14. You posted this while I was typing lol
  15. now I am confused , why not just spool it off , I stick a big nail through the spool and nail it into a block of wood, that is how I have been doing it for years. Is that the wrong way?
  16. What dis. line do you have on that reel? Thanks David
  17. It is, the Stealth is on a rod I just got these in the mail today not this one , the reels
  18. I guess I am hooked on BCs and threw a open face in just incase. I guess the best way to find out what you want is try them. I will keep what I like and sell the rest , by the way the Kastking Stealth is a solid reel for the money , I may even keep it David The assassin may or may not be as good, I do not like the internal brakes at first look.
  19. http://www.ebay.com/itm/SHIMANO-CURADO-200PG-BAITCAST-REEL-NEW-/391761033276?hash=item5b36c6f83c:g:R~UAAOSwDmBY3n~y forgot to type in reply 125 on e bay
  20. The 20 lb braid is the problem with the mid air stops the line is biting into the lower layers the internal breaks are under the dial; line too small
  21. When you say Curado which one are you talking about? Man you got 100, 200 , 300 , 70 and a host of #s that follow
  22. I have a quality reel coming to compare the Kastking with. I will let all know the outcome David
  23. Well mine [Kastking Stealth] was doing the same thing, I can help I think. take the side cover off and put all the brakes on, turn the dial to 9, adj the spool so the bait falls slowly to the ground and the spool stops when the bait touches ground. and put 50 lb braid on, make sure you wind it tight. Then make some casts side arm. cast with just the wrist. Thumb the reel just as the bait hits water you can back off the brake after you get use to it. David
  24. welcome to a great forum
