There seams to be no point in the backing other than coast. Is that correct ? If so I would just use the braid. Not that expensive Dang you are fishing on a 20 grand boat with a flock of $500 reels and $400 rods Heck I fish on a $500 boat with $100 reels and rods and I just don't see the point.

We are getting lots of rain and weather men calling for more here in south central VA . Staunton [ Roanoke ] river is very high and will be out of its banks soon. Seams as though it always gets out when the stripers are running. Mostly just the bucks in the river now. The does will be up soon. I hope they all don't get by while the river is out. David

Well it is a keeper, caught a few stripers [Rock Bass] this pm with it no problems. Did not catch any over 24 in so no keepers. 3 from 20 to 23 inch though. All bites on a white buck tail with a yellow trailer. I can only cast it 25 to 30 yards though. But am working on that. Drag on the stealth worked ok only 2 small back lashes Dod not take any of my 808s or 888s so had to use it , good thing the river is wide cause my towards aint just right yet

I believe a Zebco 33 in like a 30 30 rifle , more fresh water fish have been caught with a 33 and more deer have been killed with a 30 30 than any thing else. David

I do not know, but I have a boat and trailer like that, made in Texas older than dirt pull the cover, should be a tag under it, JC Penny, Montgomery Ward, Sears Roebuck etc

Well, I will give it a thumbs up , But my accuracy with the 6' 6'' rod leaves a lot to be desired. I can hit the water but no where close to my close faced reels

I was raised on a tobacco farm, so I raised tobacco for a few years. Also trapped while on the farm. Worked at a Chevrolet dealership for 6 years or so. Built a shop and went out on my own. Went to work at a local university running their Golf Course, was State owned worked there for 17 years, retired . Then went to work at my present job at a tractor dealership as a mechanic. Loved it all , so I guess I have never worked a day in my life. No regrets David

This is an old tread, but it has nothing to do with the dock, you were fishing and the glitzy boat just paid you no attention. What a difference 50 # braid made, I am down to 5 on the break dial and NO BACK LASH what so ever I am pleased with the real. Now what do I need 50# line and a bait caster for? Yawl pros tell me please as some of you know I am an old close face fisherman. Thanks David

Trolling fishing is like deer hunting from a pickup and shooting a buck 300 yards standing still. It just does not appeal to me. I fish for fun trolling is no fun for me.

When I was in my teens , I fished a lot with my Dads first cousin Jake. One year we got checked 4 times by the same warden. On one occasion he walked over a mile to check us. Now I live in a county where the population is only 12,ooo people. I know he had to know we had our license. However Jake ate what he caught and he was lucky he never got caught with too small of Bass. If you fish without a license you should get fined in my opinion. David
