  1. I am leaving for a trip to both Disney and Discovery cove for one week in two days. I am hoping to be able to get on some fish down there. I plan on binging a travel spinning and travel casting Rod. I am staying in wilderness lodge. Are there any spots that I am allowed to fish near there? Both inside and out of the resorts. Also I don't have transportation only the Disney bus and my two legs. If not, are there places that I can sneak into. I am only 16 so I can usually get away with it as long as I'm not disrespectful. Also will I need a license to fish down there? Thanks!
  2. Pickering creek has s lot of smallmouth in the 2"-3lb range. It flows into the schuykill. That is a shallow wide slow river. Try that, never fished it but heard good reports

  11. As you may know I am in the process of rebuilding the wood casting deck on my boat. I am leaving on a trip tomorrow. I was considering buying a nice boat cover instead of sealing the wood. I bought thompsons water seal, but heard it is garbage. Also, i still need to seal my transom regardless. What is the best way to seal a transom in 24 hours? Thanks
  12. Thanks for the info!
  13. I am using it for my 14' boat, it has paint on the outside of it, although i would like it to look nice, I'm not to concerned with the boat rash, i need the storage in side so i can fit my rods. Should i go 600 or 300? thanks
  14. I know you said you've never done it, but how do you think it would hold up? will be taking it over 500 miles
  15. Looking at getting a cabala's boat cover. I want to use it when traveling and when i am on trips and can't keep the boat in my garage. This is for my 14' Vhull with a bow mounted 52" power drive v2. http://www.cabelas.com/product/Cabelas-Denier-Universal-Fit-Boat-Covers/737269.uts#tabsCollection looking at the one above, but willing to look at others too. Also, what is the advantage of 600 and 300 denier? I assume higher number means more waterproof. thanks

  19. Going to be fishing clear water lakes in VT next week looking to buy some good finesse jigs. Looking at the DP Finesse by bait buffett, and also want ones from Tackle Warehouse, because I'm already buying a lot from there for the trip. thanks
  20. I will be staying on Lake Hortonia in Vermont next week. I will also get to fish Lake Bomoseen and maybe Lake Champlain. I only have a limited knowledge and 14' boat with no outboard. I was told that Hortonia is weedy and I can find the pike there. Any tips for these three bodies of water would be greatly appreciated!
  21. Should i "knot" wrap the line by twisting?
  22. I notice a lot of people saying 580g. what does this mean exactly? thanks
  23. I am currently using 15 lb Powerpro on all my spinning reels. I use Seaguar Invisx as my leader in 6 and 8 lb test. I always tie a double uni knot with 8 wraps on the braid and 6 with the floro. I reel down to about 6" from the reel when casting. This gives me a leader about the length of the rod. I usually use and improved clinch knot (i think). I will use a uni with 8 wraps when not on the water. When I tie the clinch knot, I just spin the line a bunch of times. It usually doesn't cinch down right, even when wet, but i use my nail to slide the knot to the hook. I then pull hard to see if it is strong. My uncle takes the time to wrap the line around the hook, but only feeds it through the loop once. i do it twice. I bet I'm tying wrong, but i will likely try to change that habit. Any advice is appreciated. I am also going to try and learn the dodd or fg knot, i forget which one is better for long casts. also what is the best leader line to use in 8lb test. if fish clear water so fc is a must. i do like 10 lb cxx around docks though. So what leader line? i will likely buy invisx or abrazo now, because I'm headed on a clear water lake trip in vt, but will try tatsu next season. thanks
