  1. I second the tp1 speed stick! I have 4 I suggest the 6'10 Or 7' mh for what you said your main baits will be. Pm me if you want to but a couple used tp1s. Lol
  2. I hunted turkeys 1 time, called for an hour, shot one, cleaned it, went fishing.
  3. I run 50lb braid to a 17lb copolymer leader through my casting tp1's. Fg Or Alberto knot. Works great.
  4. You can't expect to catch a fish that ate another fish. The bass was probably never hooked and just had a hold of the perch. And in the spinnerbait fish, make sure your drag is set correctly before you start fishing, not when you are fighting a fish. Once I have my drag set for the day I don't touch it. Of you need more pore either place your thumb on the spool (baitcaster) or cup the spool (spinning) that way drag won't be taken as quickly. Always be 100% alert and aware when fishing, that will make your catch rate go up a ton. If you are ready for a strike, then detecting a strike a landing the fish will be much easier.
  5. Look into a bass raider. Here in southern indiana you can pick up a 10ft bass raider for 260 bucks at rural king. They fish 2 People decently but are great for 1 man operations.
  6. I don't have experience with this particular rod, but have a lot of the casting versions of the tp1. It's a great rod for $100. I feel like the techniques they label their rods with are very accurate. You may check out the mach speed stick. its only $80 and they have the ned specific rod. Good reviews on tw too
  7. I don't throw it every time I go out, but the magnum rage bug has produced big fish for me every time I have given it a fair chance. Pitching, jig trailer, chatterbait trailer, wobble head etc.
  8. Tatula sv, cheaper and built for lighter baits.
  9. I use a 7'5 mh cabelas tournament zx cranking rod. Nice budget rod.
  10. I would go to a bank and ask them what they'd loan you, then come back and ask for suggestions on something in that price range. Boats/watercrafts are some of the highest interest loans around. Just be prepared for a good payment even if you only borrow 10k.
  11. Are your brakes set correctly? The daiwa's with the magforce z braking system take a different approach to setting them up.
  12. The vanish made your fish vanish. I would suggest a leader that is actual leader material. It is better suited than vanish.
  13. I like magnum shakey heads. 3/8 and 1/2. With an xcite baits maximus worm.
  14. I think it may have been mine at one point lol
  15. Black head, black skirt, black trailer
  16. Read the FAQ's and rules
  17. 2 birds, 1 stone. Nice!
  18. @Catt Why a swivel and not a very small split shot? To minimize line twist?
  19. Tacklewarehouse.com it has everything and anything he would ever want or need. They have gift cards. Its what I ask for for my birthday and christmas
  20. Don't have the exact model in the tp1, but have multiple others. I feel like they are the best rod for 100 dollars. They do run a bit heavy compared to say a falcon Bucoo. The winn grips are nice and they are tough. I have 3 7' mh and the 7'3 h. They run about a half power heavy.
  21. Yeah I'm thinking of wrong company.
  22. Are they custom bagleys?
  23. Don't throw em on the bank. Eat them. Bass are delicious. It will 100% help. Take 30-40 a year until you get a nice balance of nice sized fish. Don't take out short fat ones. Take out long skinny ones.
  24. Bluegill spawn gets 1 or 2 trips. Rest of the year it's largemouth.
