  1. Where at? Our tourney we are having this weekend, it will take 23-24lbs. And that's 3 fish over 18 inches and 3 under 18 inches. (tournament rules)
  2. We tag fish here in southern indiana. I will ask my friend and his dad what type of gun and tags they use this weekend if you don't have an answer by then.
  3. Thanks guys. It is in the list of new rods I'd like to try for .5-.75 oz jigs
  4. Do you only use your magic stick for frogs?
  5. Yeah You can adjust it like that. But doing it as @MittenMouth said increase the performance of the reel.
  6. Please just buy something! Tired of seeing 1057 threads from you asking about reels.
  7. Buy something from a store with a good return policy and take it back if you don't like it.
  8. Never used it, actually have really been enjoying p-line cxx.
  9. Definitely sounds like an odd duck lol You can send that jersey from Illinois to indiana, I don't mind to wait til Tuesday for it to ship lol
  10. Specialist. That way you have All the confidence in one bait, all the time. Confidence is 80% of fishing I believe. I feel like I'm a good jig fisherman, and hold my own at everything else. But I'm super confident on any body of water if you put my jig combo and a jig and trailer.
  11. I like the fg knot and Alberto for line to line knots
  12. Gotta love those hoosier hawgs! Lol.
  13. About to do that after my last tourney Next weekend. Will keep a few of my favorites to get me through the winter, but besides those 3 I will hopefully be upgrading and condensing early this spring.
  14. That's about perfect...for me. With 30lb braid I stay under a 15lb leader, makes my connection knots feel more secure and the diameter difference is very little.
  15. Been please with my daiwa j-braid x4. It cuts vegetation well and casts well. I have experience with the 30lb and 50lb.
  16. Minus the dropshot, that's where my thought process was heading unfortunately.
  17. Yeah we were able to find brush we didn't know was there being that the water was low and also very clear since we haven't had a measurable rain in 3 months.
  18. I fish a small 75 acre pit here in Southern Indiana. I would consider it a honey hole if you will. Very diverse, old road beds, deep brush piles, 4 rows of single stick ups all the way around, lots of vegetation out to 10ft. 20Lbs on 5 fish is very achievable throughout the whole year. My fishing partner and his dad have fished it 3 times in the last 2 weeks. They haven't got on any kind of pattern and haven't boated a fish over 16 inches. I know it's hot and summer but usually we can sit out deep in the brush piles or on the road bed and throw your typical summer lures. Big worm, jig, crankbait etc. My question is, has the low water level affected the bite? What are some tactics or hotspots I may be looking over?
  19. Just checked the website that lets you land large bass. They have 8 lefties in stock.
  20. I'll take the zillion off your hands and you can take my 200hg curado? Lol
  21. I'm on the tatula ct train as well.
  22. 15lb braid, with an 8lb leader. 15lb fluoro on a normal bass sized spinning reel sounds like a lot of curse words and a bad time. There's not enough line conditioner in the state of indiana to make me want to try that. Just my .02. Highest I go on spinning reels is 10lb mono
  23. Oh yes. We do it during our tournaments when we take a break to eat a sandwich. Get on the upwind side and drift down to our next spot
  24. Caught 11 Or 12 in an hour and a half. Red squarebill bumping rip rap. Couldn't get anything to bite any kind of plastic. But have me some confidence in a bait I never throw.
