  1. I only fish hard 2 times a year. I may get out and fish for over 2 hrs, 5 times a year.
  2. I have never fished a wp, and never will. But if say 14-20lb mono and 40-65lb braid. Not sure what the 110 and 130 weigh, but as long as you stay in your rods ratings you'll be fine.
  3. Be a great rod for pitching heavy Texas rigs or jigs.
  4. What are the specs for the rod? Lure ratings and length
  5. If rather be 2 powers too heavy than 1 power too light...just how I roll.
  6. The orra winch is a nice reel. I had one and it performed flawlessly. It was in my deep diver combo, 8xds&10xds. I would buy another if I threw cranks anymore.
  7. They were awesome in concert. Troy was super talented.
  8. That's a tough one! I don't believe there's a bait in my box I can chuck 75 yards now that Ive sold all of my 10xds
  9. Use as light of weights as possible so it doesn't bury down in the weeds.
  10. Braid and copoly here. Despise fluoro
  11. Tatula ct...or if that's too expensive (100 dollars on ebay) then I'd go with the fuego
  12. There's only about 3 rods in all of those lineups. Your making things too dificult. 7Ft mh casting, 7ft m casting, 6'9-7'6 ml, spinning rod.
  13. I am a "husky" fellow lol
  14. Thank you for making my point of "fish are dumb" more valid
  15. Down sides to ned rig for me is the fact that there's a giant thread called "the ned rig encyclopedia" yet there's still 8 threads a day talking about it.
  16. A wacky rigged senko. 6-7 inch
  17. I consider myself fairly intelligent. So, If someone put a cheeseburger in front of my nose, and I bit down on it, got a hook drove in my face, ripped into the sky and held by a giant who grabbed me by the lips and took pics of me and then threw me back where I came from, I sure wouldn't be a fan of cheeseburgers anymore...
  18. On the 7'6 heavy I'd rig up 17-20lb fluoro, 2 bobber stops, 3/8th ounce tungsten, 5/0 ewg hook and a magnum rage bug
  19. I agree the zx Is a better rod. But for less money the veritas beats it, and for $100 the lews tp1 speed stick blows it out of the water in my opinion. Tackle warehouse is your friend
  20. They're not conditioned to the baits, they are conditioned to the fishing pressure. People walking on the bank, kicking rocks, bombing casts 67 ft in the air and letting it splash down right on top of the fish, boat pressure, getting pinged with electronics, etc. Thats why if you go to a spot with caution and keep your awareness high and your presence unknown, you will more than likely have success whether it gets fished hard or not. If they got conditioned to the baits one of the lakes I fish, you would never get a bite on a white spinner bait, but we catch thousands every year on one in a small 65 acre lake. And some of the fish are caught multiple times. Any fish over 16 inches we tag and write down the number in the tag. So when we catch it again we can record it. I've caught the same fish 3 times in 7 months and on the same bait 2 of those times.
  21. Same as blue here, but I can also cast with my left hand in normal operating position, right hand in the end cap of the rod, and cast kinda backhanded off my right shoulder, it's a work in progress. But I seen Gerald swindle do it and figured I'd try it. Not sure what the benefits of it are, but it gives me something new to try
  22. All credit to the magnum rage bug. Black red flake I don't enjoy fishing them, and when I do it's on a carolina rig or pitching the 7" senkos with a 3/8 ounce weight. But I won't knock their effectiveness, I whooped up on my buddy who refuses to throw them many times.
