Flipping from a kayak
Practice at home sitting in a chair with your feet propped up like in a kayak You'll use a sideways arm action to pitch (I gotta do this to get around my trolling motor) Flipping is another thing entirely

Are my Rapala crankbaits ok?
I've broken a bunch of DT 6's and 7's However, mine break because of the balsa So I reel in the whole lip and just a part of the wood bait. This is just the price of using balsa and grinding it on the bottom all the time. I dont have the same problem with the 10's or 16's though

Looks like there will be 60 bags 20lbs and over last week 28 lbs won a one day tourney with over 100 boats- Saint Lawrence
They have had the hammer on multiple 25 lb bags gonna be a shootout for sure Taku is in 30th with 19.5 lbs- Marking brush piles
As an old school triangulator, I check everything I see marked. There are people who will mark things at different times there are a couple brush piles that are 20 feet deep at full pool When the water is down they had some red tape on them. sure enough, these were marking brushpiles out from the ones that were 20 feet deep and you'd only see the tape at winter pool. These 40 feet deep brushpiles are summertime gold- Anyone have a covered boathouse? How do you keep the swallows from nesting inside?
I have about 6 or 7 of the plastic owls in my garage Some people dont understand how wind works so I run into a floating owl at least once a year- Miles of Weedbeds
It's like fishing the shady side VS fishing the sunny side On the shady side every piece of anything is in the shade hard to focus anywhere. But on the sunny side is where you will find isolated pieces of cover/structure that will be shaded these give precise targets- My "Secret" Technique this Weekend
I knew an oldtimer that fished a carolina rig with a lazy ike on the back he would cast and then drag with slow pulls it was very effective for him- Back to fishing...
I'd also vote for the Volunteer BFL's. It's a good mix of the lakes in this area. Quite a few guides and Toyota series competitors fish the Volunteer BFL's if you can hang at that level, you're pretty far up the food chain IMO- Favorite Bluegill Imitating Top Water Popper ?
Not really a popper guy, but found a Kelly J prop bait in sunfish its a nice difference while being similar- Any interest in trapping?
Dude, its like a million degrees here and your up in the attic ... Hopefully, cold beverages are in your future- Spoons for bass?
Cody Huff recently took 2nd at Pickwick tossing a spoon The dixie jet talon weighing in at 2 3/4 ounces- MLF Stage 5 - Watts Bar - TVA - June 2022
On the TVA lakes almost every event there is someone that does well fishing the dams. That current will trump a blue bird sky- Epic GOAT Toad Bite!
Thats AWESOME!! Those are the days we will chase the rest of our lives duplicating that magic!!- MLF Stage 5 - Watts Bar - TVA - June 2022
Gonna be a nail biter- Who’s fishing a BFL?
One of the time I fished Douglas as a co, my "pro" said he had a deep water hump He sat about 50 feet from it a lobbed a giant spoon at it all day So I was sitting over about 60 feet of nothing all day He was sponsored by Ray's and I didn't even get a bag of chips out of it- Fantasy Fishing 2022 - Official Thread
I went with David Mullins like a Dumass- From the window to the walls . . . . .
- Elite Series: Pickwick Lake
Bite was better as they pulled more water current tourneys highlight how timing is crucial- This is the 10th boating-related fatality on Tennessee waters this year. Just wear it!
I'm a pretty good swimmer in the summertime in my swim shorts I'm like a lead weight when fully clothed with shoes on trying to make the same swim The current is like black ice, once you hit it you lose control- Elite Series: Pickwick Lake
No current has things a little slow this morning. Ledge fishing always crowds the guys together. Cracking up at Z and Ronnie talking about - "Nobody is going to the house today", "floors are already done" hahahahahaaa- Fishing in the rain?
The heavier the rain the more I use cast and retrieve lures like spinner bait or crankbait So on the retrieve I'll be holding the rod downward, therefore rain is not running down my sleeves Lighter rain and I'm throwing a black buzz bait or walking bait- Offshore Question
Throw a bait with an exposed hook, it'll find every brushpile in the whole lake. When I'm damiki fishing in the winter, I feel like Paul Bunyon chopping down all the brush But I'm directly above it, so no pendulum effect You can also try a heavier weight as it might be falling away from the brush before getting to it.- The Found Lures Thread
Mile high obviously I've got dad jokes for days - Saint Lawrence
