My '69 Mustang. That was my 1st car when I turned 16. I kept her till I was 19 and GAVE her away to my best friend when I went to college. A lot of THINGS were lost in that car. I sure wish I still had her.

Has anyone ever watched the Shining? I just watched the 1st hour of it and can't watch anymore. Call me what you want but I'm going to bed with the lights and television on. This has to be one of Jack Nicholson's best performances. Perhaps if I go to sleep watching cartoons then I won't have any nightmares.

I bought a box of P-Line #6 for my new ultralite. I get home to put it on and when I opened the box it was a spool of Shakespeare Supreme which I'm sure cost about $4. less then the P-Line. Someone probably swapped spools.

I think you should sneak over there and swap out his ornaments with Halloween ones and then watch his facial expression as he comes out in the morning to get the paper.. Priceless....

Micro, I don't measure my drag except by hand/feel. I wonder if the big difference in the drag between the two is for a sales pitch? I'm curious too. Come on RW, do tell.

I'm not using my Premier in saltwater, yet. I don't hammer the drag either. In fact, I probably fish too loose of a drag. I'm sure I didn't explain myself correctly. When I loosen the drag on my Shimano's and Diawas to stow them, they go from snug to very loose and you can pull the line out effortlessly with one finger. But when I loosen the drag on the Premier it goes from snug to loose back to snug and the line does not come out effortlessly, as if the drag is not loosened all the way. I'm sure it's nothing to gripe about though. I was just making a comparison, I haven't caught any decent bass yet(over 4lbs) on the Premier to really test the drag.

I don't think it's all that difficult. You just got a bad taste from Avid's picture taking ability....or should I say inability......

$100-$150= the Shimano Stradic...2nd choice would be the Quantum cabo. I personally won't consider anything else unless you want to spend $300 plus. I have 2 Stradics and am very pleased with them.

I held the new Stradic the other day while looking for an ultralite. Man is it SWEET. I have 2 of the last model that I am now considering swaping out for the new ones. They redesigned the spool to better handle braid. Supposedly now when you use braid it will criss cross as it goes onto the spool which I was told is better. I don't know or care because I don't use braid much. The reel is very nice though.
