  1. Never left my tackle box. Any Mepp’s, Rebel 3.5” straight and broke back minnow, Humpy, Wee R, pop-r, all the craw cranks, hula poppers, jitterbug, jelly worms
  2. U40 added to a cork handle doesn’t change the feel at all. It’s such a fine layer that is added.
  3. Nice! thanks for the info
  4. I haven’t held one, but it’s slightly lighter than the 70 MGL. Figured it would be the same size. Don’t know for sure.
  5. I see what you mean. It still seems weird to make a reel so similar to another. If the main reason the company made the reel is to go up a line size or two, it seems a bit redundant to me. I'm sure people will get it, and enjoy it.
  6. I'm confused where it fits in the Shimano lineup. 70 MGL 105 yds of 10lb line and 4 break pins 150 MGL 120 yds pf 10lb line and 6 break pins weight is very close, and it seems the size is similar too. Any other differences I'm not seeing?
  7. If you ever stream fish for Smallies, they are fantastic on a 1/0 EWG. Drop shot, also on a ballhead jig head.
  8. Check if you have some schmutz on your line guide on one side of the reel. It can cause it to stack on one side on the retrieve.
  9. Your question is "are they worth it?" the answer is yes. They are made better, and work better than cheaper reels. However reels around $100-$150 are pretty good, and starting around $200 a lot of reels get great. $200 range Daiwa and Shimano reels rock it!
  10. Pot Boss! 3” and 4” get more fish per bait with the Owner screw lock hook. Fantastic combination of bait and hook.
  11. The new Curado rods also look very nice.
  12. Same for me. Easy to tie, and zero failures
  13. Asian Portal has a 5% off sale on reels going until the 20th. use: SMM-005
  14. My issue was one bad bearing in the 8 speed reel, I replaced it with Shimano bearings, and it's good as new now. The other 7 speed reel was just in need of a cleaning. Soaked the bearings, and replaced them, and now good as new. I decided to do a massive reel purchasing, and just put both up for sale in the flea market if anyone is interested. Thanks to everyone for the advice.
  15. Hey, what is the black and silver one. Looks sharp. Hey, what is the black and silver one. Looks sharp. Hey, what is the black and silver one. Looks sharp.
  16. I guess it's the same blank with new guides and seats.
  17. New G Loomis lineup in-between the E6x and IMX-Pro. Curious to know about the blank material.
  18. I think prices are fair, not below what they should be. I order pretty regularly.
  19. I always use a 4/0 Gama superline hook on my Super fluke......Makes it super! Fall rate is perfect from the heavier hook, and depending on how far into the Fluke I put the hook it will dive down, or up and jump out of the water.
  20. How's the quality of the weights from http://www.omfishingsinkers.com?
  21. That rod is a medium light.
  22. 1/0 VMC Neko hook has the best hookup ratio there is. Fish stay pinned too.
  23. Those Santone jigs are killer!
