  1. My gear is beautiful. Go get lost in Green Acres @PhishLI?
  2. Who feels bad about their gear?

  4. Stay away from VMC clips. They fail.
  5. ML Zodias is a great match for that reel. The 7' L power Zodias is also a killer rod. It's like the perfect ned rig rod.
  6. Me too. It's great and small.

I would say start with a Stike King Bitsy Flip, and a Zoom Chunk Jr. It's an inexpensive setup, easy to fish around cover, and gets tons of bites. Start with a 1/4oz.
  8. I only have Ray’s spools, they seem more robust, and are probably heavier too. I’ve never weighed them.
  9. I should be cool since I have been putting about 3/4 of the capacity of FC on my spools and it doesn't absorb water. There would have to be a LOT of tension on the line, more than I would ever dream of applying, when spooling it to cause damage. . Anyone ever have this happen to a BFS spool?
  10. Never heard that one. I’ve been using 8 and 10lb straight FC on BFS spools this season, and have caught some pretty big fish and have no issues. how is the light line stretching going to crush a spool?
  11. It's seeming like people are not getting your question. "money is no object" people!
  12. What's high end to you? I find I enjoy myself much more with the best gear I have. Comfort, efficiency, weight, sensitivity, longevity all are on my list when I buy gear now. I learned the hard way I enjoy the best gear I can get, so now I won't buy the less expensive option. Instead I'll wait until I can get the gear I really want the most.
  13. I'm going to disagree with this. That ring helps to tighten your knots without cutting yourself. It's a very good product.
  14. I agree, you will be very happy with this set up. The Tatula Medium Light 7'1" spinning rod with a Tatula LT 3000 will do all you want well. Under budget too. For a little over budget you can go the Shimano route.
  15. I already ordered new Shimano bearings, waiting on them now.
  16. Yup, I have last season, and this season on them so far.
  17. I'll report back when I get my bearing in the reels.
  18. My Zodias is a USA version. 6'9" ML. https://fish.shimano.com/content/fish/northamerica/us/en/homepage/Shimano_Product_Page.P-ZODIAS_SPINNING_A.html
  19. That's what the person at Shimano I talked to said too. I took them out soaked them in acetone for 6 hours, blew them out with compressed air, and spun them on a bearing gauge. 3 of the 4 were making noise, and a rough after cleaned.
  20. Here’s what happened. I bought two Curado 70 mgl reels the week they came out. Used them a ton for about two years. Never ran the spool bearings dry, one drop two times a season. Just got back from a two week fishing trip, where they both were used every day, caught lots of fish. Took them out today and both are showing signs of the spool bearings being worn out. They were bought from different stores. Happen stance? any ideas? I ordered replacement bearings from Shimano.
  21. 4 days from order to my door. Well packed, and great communication throughout.
  22. Nah, don't believe it Knowing is terrible!
  23. For a couple of more inches the Tatula mh 6’10” is fantastic.
  24. Number 1 Mepps Aglia will catch everything that swims.
