  1. Try a Kuying Teton 6'6" light power rod. They have a moderate/fast action and are perfect for what you want. Also makes an excellent ned rig rod too. very reasonably priced.
  2. I don't own it but I handled one in a shop recently, and it seemed like it would be excellent for ned rigs. 7' light power Zodias rod. It felt great.
  3. Tatula 7'1" ML rod, and a Tatula LT 3000 with 8lb braid to 8lb FC leader.
  4. I’m 95% braid to leader, everything but my two light bait casting rigs. can’t find a reason to ever switch.
  5. YES! 1.5 times stretch as it says in the description
  6. Get this one and be done. It's a perfect kayak fishing net. https://www.egofishing.com/products/wade/small-rubber-net/ The flat bottom allows fish to lay flatter inside the net. Also these nets can stretch for bigger fish.
  7. They are great glasses. Before I went with prescription sunglasses, they were all I used. The frame is a great shape too.
  8. I do really well with the 6.8 size. I don’t think going up 1 inch will catch you any bigger fish.
  9. new fangled from 15 years ago or probably longer.
  10. Same here. Whatever this knot is it’s not a SD jam
  11. T-Mac and Swamp Crawler
  12. Come on man, any NYC slice place is better.
  13. Or the Phenix Feather ML casting rod
  14. Other than the things you mentioned the 2020 version is quite a bit smaller in hand, and lighter. They are similar, but have a little different feel. Both reels are very smooth, I'd say the 2020 version is a touch more connected feeling when reeling. That doesn't mean better, just different. Casting is about the same to me. I have four 2017, and three 2020, and love them all. If you ever get into BFS type fishing, you can get shallow spools for both, and they do a great job. Both are excellent for skipping too.
  15. Strike King tour grade, and Owner Ultraheads.
  16. I have one, and the ML version too. The L is great for ned rigs, small cranks, 1/8 head & grubs. The ML is great for all the same stuff that is just a little heavier. FryDog hipped me to them. Excellent rods! I landed a 6.75lb LMB with the light, and it handled it really well.
  17. I have a perfect condition one for sale in the flea market
  18. If you have a 735 why don't you just try it out and see. I use mine for 6.8" Keitechs, and R2S 168 s-wavers. I also regularly use my 705 Champion for 3/8oz swim jigs.
  19. The Champion will be much lighter, and feel better for jigs and T-rigs. I have a 735 Fury and a 705 Champion, and there is no comparison as far as feel, lightness, and sensitivity goes.
  20. I will buy whatever I want. I buy items made in any country on the planet.
  21. The first I owned was Ryobi AD400 with a "V" spool. I think they were made my Lew's at the time, not sure. Casted great as I remember. Before that my Dad's 5000c Abu
  22. The Curado 70 mgl is a very nice reel. Get one! Perfect for what you would want out of it, and more.
  23. In no order: Big Bite Baits Yomamma Yum Christie Critter Zoom Z-Craw Zoom Baby/Mid sized Brush hog
  24. Never too late for a shaky head.
  25. When that happens to me I throw a small t-rig like my new favorite Z-Man baby goat. It's small enough that when they grab it, and you set the hook you will get them. Something to try.
