Cold, windy, and rainy here in Iowa. Has been for several days. 53 degrees currently. Haven't fished much this year. Insert sad face.

If I threw a 10 oz bait I think it would give all the fish I normally catch a heart attack.

Last summer I almost had a heart attack from what I assume was a huge carp. I was night fishing, dead quiet, and pitch black so your other senses are heightened. Then all of a sudden what seemed like a humpback whale breaching the ocean, there was a HUGE splash maybe just 10 yards from me. I dang near crapped my pants. Had to been a very large carp, catfish, or muskie.

In so I don't forget this.

I used to take 4 in the kayak. Sawed off some pvc and now I go with 6. I'd love to get to 8. What's wrong with me! LOLOLOLOLOL

I look like a fisherman only when I'm fishing. Otherwise it's dress clothes for me M-F. For the most part I have Fridays off in the summer so that's nice.

By far no expert but I'd much rather cast with a sliding weight vs a weight pegged a foot and a half up.

Fish from a kayak in normally less than 10 ft. If I had some electronics I'm sure that would change.

Well just ordered the C3000MHG. My main concern is balance and by the sound of things this reel balances well. Now I just need to figure out some good Neko baits. Can't wait!

Ordered the 852S yesterday basically for Neko, Wacky, and Shaky fishing. After doing a bunch of reading, I’m really interested in the Shimano Vanquish. The only problem is that I can’t get my hands on it to figure out which model balances the best with this rod. Anyone have this rod? Maybe even paired with a Vanquish? If you don’t have this reel, what reel do you have and how does it balance? Thanks!

Not trying to be a.....forgot how to use English, but you have started several threads where you are not happy with your reels after you take them apart and then put back together. My advice is to stop messing with your reels.
