  1. Largemouth Smallmouth Walleye Pike Pickerel Channel Cat Crappie Bluegill Perch Gar
  2. I'm about an hour.
  3. I just noticed your signature....off topic but how's Olsen lake for kayaking? I was just at Pierce last week for just the second time.
  4. Some Flints, at least one Frontier. The Frontier owner uses a 55 lb thrust trolling motor.
  5. I kayak fish A LOT, and know a lot of guys that do to. That being said, I've never even seen a Bonafide in person. Many of the guys I fish with have Nucanoe's.
  6. I was adamant about staying old school and sticking with paddle only. I was also the last to my spots when fishing tourney's with all the pedal and motor drives out there competing. I decided to go pedal and was inches away from getting a Coosa FD. I ended up getting a Vibe Sea Ghost 130 and a Bixby motor as it was less expensive than most decent pedal drives. If you are going for several days I'd go with pedal so that battery life isn't an issue. Of course you could get a pedal drive and add a motor to it also. I don't camp out of mine but storage wise it would seem the best bet would be an open deck style such as the Nucanoe.
  7. As in brand or ratings??? Mine are all MegaBass or St. Croix, I tend to bring more MH/Fast than anything else. Usually 3 MH/Fast, 2 M/Mod, and 1 H/Fast in my kayak.
  8. Good to know!
  9. I know it's a ways off but does anyone know if Megabass is excluded from the black Friday sale? I need to spend some $$ but will wait if Megabass goes on sale too. My gut tells me MB is excluded.
  10. If I want a shorter trailer I just snip some off the tail end of a Rage Tail or Rage Bug.
  11. A buddy of mine is getting the Jonny Boat..........he's upgrading from a tiny little 10 foot sit in kayak.
  12. For me....... SOT, stability, customization, storage and access to storage, higher vantage point for both casting, presentation, bringing the fish in. Sit in...........great for a pleasure paddle around the lake or down the river.
  13. If you want to spend $200 get the Levante Braillis If you want to spend $300 get the Orochi XX Braillist I had the Levante and still have it. I wanted another one when MegaBass did the recall and needed another jig rod so I got the Orochi.....I wish I hadn't because now I'm spoiled and will be getting another one.
  14. Fall rate will also be affected by which plastic you're rigging.............such as Senko vs Rage Tail Craw
  15. All my reels are braid. With mono leaders on those I mentioned. Plastics, frogs, jigs, are straight braid. Everything with treble hooks and spinnerbaits get a short mono leader. Not to reduce visibility to the fish, to keep line from tangling.
  16. I use a braid but with a short mono leader. Only reason is the line tends to wrap of with the blades less with the stiffness of the mono leader over the braid. I do the same with crank baits.

I Texas rig Senkos with a weight all the time........... I also stopped pegging my weights and have done better
  18. I use my AvidX MH/Fast with a Lew's Tournament Pro. 30 lb braid. I'd use my Orochi XX Braillist too if I didn't always have a jig tied on it.
  19. The Bali does not look comfortable at all. Spend a little extra now and get the two used FS's. In a year or two you'd be spending the money anyway to upgrade that one. Believe me when I say you'll use them more if they are comfortable.
  20. Currently my favorite lure. Mainly because I've been kicking bass with it the last three times out until the sun gets a bit over the trees. I've used it in a foot of water all the way up to 8 feet over receding weeds as well as along the edge of steep drop offs. It's rattles so loud and creates such a wake that the bass can't seem to resist it right now.
  21. I've never even thought of that. A lot of times I switch from wacky to weightless t-rigged when dealing with weeds. Now I have to go buy some bobbers!
  22. 1. Swim jig,,,,,,,,,,this is year round. I consider chatterbaits a swim jig too. 2. T-rig with a worm or creature of some sort............also year round. 3. Crank bait 4. Walking bait or popper If the water has turned over and is clear enough I will replace 3 or 4 with a jerkbait.
