Kayak?
Yes, I know that part. Most of them refuse to negotiate at all and I see their ads continue on for weeks and months. LOL

Senko fishing
My point is more about don't be afraid to switch it up when the standard go-to isn't working. Swim jigs, spinnerbaits, etc.

Senko fishing
I fished a small private pond yesterday that I've fished for several years. About all I could get them to take were Senko's or other stick baits. And I caught a lot of big bass on them there. Occasionally they'd bite on a chatterbait, never on anything else no matter how much I tried. Yesterday I wasn't getting any hits, so I figured what the hell, I'll try a squarebill, 6 bass in an hour, all good sized. So, you never know!

Are Active Carp Relevant?
I'm curious about this too. During this year there's been several times that I've headed for spots that usually hold bass and find carp instead, with no bass.

Kayak?
I go between 4-6 hours depending on how big the body of water is, and how good I'm doing!

Filming Your Fishing Trips
I got a GoPro for Father's Day. I put it on the had mount when I go out, start recording right before my first cast and let it run until the battery runs out. Sometimes I put my second battery in, other times I don't. I don't really think about it at all so it doesn't interfere with my fishing. I've made a couple video's just for myself and family to see and starting playing around with editing. I had a topwater hit that I edited to show real time, followed up with a zoomed in slow motion that turned out pretty cool.

Rage Tail Craw
I love the Rage Craws! My three biggest fish of the year have come on Watermelon Red Flake. All on a jig. I also haven't had the problem some here are having with durability. I often catch several fish on the same one. I love the Watermelon Red Flake so much I just bought six packs to make sure I don't come close to running out.

Looking for the *perfect* jig
I use a 6th Sense Divine Hybrid jig for everything... Well I use the 6th Sense Divine Swim jig for swim jig applications. Those are the only two types I carry and couldn't be happier.

How much would you spend on a rod and/or reel?
When I first got back into fishing about $100-130 for a combo. Now my last two setups cost me $310.......St. Croix Bass Mojo's combined with Quantum Smoke S3's.

Losing a Big One
Until this summer I've only caught one bass over 20". Earlier this year I was in my kayak and lost one that was much over 20" as I tried to net it and it snapped my leader. I was more disappointed than mad but it still sucked. Then a few weeks ago I caught one that was 21.5" and had it on my trough to measure for an online tournament when it went crazy and was able to make itself air born and land back in the water. I had to laugh, then realized that in my attempt to catch it midair I knocked my net into the water and lost it too. THAT made me mad! LOL

Deps Hollow Body Frogs

Deps Hollow Body Frogs
I don't see how it can be any better than the Booyah Pad Crasher, especially if it's over twice the price.

Stanford Baits Boom Boom Hollow Body Frog
Interesting......

Stanford Baits Boom Boom Hollow Body Frog
What's the purpose of the fur??
-
Slaying them
It was fun..........until the wind died, the clouds went away, and the heat and humidity shot up. Then the bite was gone.
-
Slaying them
I caught about 10 of these monsters yesterday. Put the kayak out at the end of the rain storms and they started hitting. I'm thinking about becoming a professional dink guide!

New love for frogs / questions
I just had this conversation with a friend of mine. I've seen many people work the frog on top of vegetation and then burn it over the clear water to get to the next mat. I've had just as many if not more hits in the open water or near the edges of vegetation in the open channel as I have ON the vegetation. I just walk it, pop it, over both.

To trim or not to trim ... and trailers
I don't trim the skirts. Weedguards I trim a little bit. I push the weedguard down until it's touching the hook point, that's where I trim it. Swim jigs I tend to use paddletail swimbaits, other jigs I use various crawfish style trailers.

Color?
I'm no expert by any means but I can say that for me a Watermellon/Pearl laminate has caught 90% of my bass via plastics. I've tried other colors and even when catching them on other colors if I switch to the above I still catch them. If I'm not catching anything and switch to the above I often start catching them.
