  1. Dang. I had a rod in my cart that I've been hemming and hawing over (I'm officially old). I guess they made the decision easier for me. πŸ˜…
  2. Good one. Also works on all rods, including Megabass, Shimano, Daiwa...
  3. Some of those 'out of stock' prices are nutty. If those were legit, some people got some amazing deals.
  4. If you want a good line that legit doesn't fade, there 2 that I've really been liking. P-Line EndurX. Comes in black, green and neon green. Also, FINS Infinity. This only comes in black. This line also runs a tad thicker, so 30# diameter in most other brands is 20# in this one.
  5. Came across this on TW's Twitter page. If you aren't already on the mailing list, now's your chance. There's a link in the Tweet you can click on to get on it. Edit: Here's the link: https://www.tacklewarehouse.com/mailinglist.html?from=basres
  6. Well dang, way to make me feel not as good about the deal I got at Farm & Fleet last week. πŸ˜…
  7. Talk about a blast from the past. I had some of these as a kid. I didn't know they still made them.
  8. More than I need yet still not enough. I haven't even dabbled in BFS yet. Planned on it this year but may have to wait until spring.
  9. I have the Free Loader, Mayor and ned BLT. Haven't used them yet. Today I got the Cleanup Craw and Bronco bug. In hand, very impressed. The profile/size of the Craw looks great. As stand-alone Texas Rig or even as a jig trailer. Have you fished the Bronco Bug? It looks great, but those appendages, woof, they look like they'll get torn off after one fish. Hopefully that's not the case.
  10. Farm & Fleet (in-store at least) has Rapala/Crush City 20% off through Aug 7. And their regular price on the Crush City stuff before the discount is $5.99. These baits retail for $6.50-$7.00 most other places. So at $4.80/pack, I decided to grab some Bronco Bugs and Cleanup Craws.
  11. 90% of the time, I'm in the same boat as A-Jay. I normally don't like having any extra 'drag' with my spinnerbaits, so I usually stay away from paddletail swimbaits. The Blade Minnow just adds a nice profile to the spinnerbait. I'll usually trim the head off of the trailer to make a more compact profile.
  12. Midway- 100 pack of 5" Senko's for $45.
  13. 2 reasons why I have yet to buy from JDM sites. And correct me if I'm wrong on these, because I'm definitely no reel expert. I'm basing this off of what I've read/heard. One, aren't the handles shorter than their US counterpart? And two, don't JDM reels use aluminum gears, while US uses brass? And it's my understanding that brass is much more durable?
  14. Agree 100%. It isn't as streamlined as a t-rig with a bullet weight, so it doesn't slide through grass nearly as well. It literally adds more surface space on the tip of the worm/creature.
  15. Just an FYI, Omnia's buy 2 get 1 free on their soft baits also includes frogs.
  16. After looking into it, it seems it was a one-time thing/contest, with them only offering it to 9 people. My luck I would've gotten a tattoo and they go out of business a year later.
  17. I have a handful of 13 Fishing hard baits. Quality baits with great components. Not to mention some of the nicest-looking paint jobs around. It's sad Rapala has put the kibosh on them.
  18. I don't have those particular models, but I do have some casting versions- an Orochi XX Diablo Spec-R and a handful of Expride B's. The Diablo is a 7'2 medium (I think it's more a M+) and my 7'2 Expride B is a MH. The Orochi weighs around 5 oz. The Expride B weighs 4.28 oz. Not apples to apples, but I'm guessing of the two models you referenced, the Shimano will be lighter in hand, if that means much to you.
  19. Oh jeeze, you're right. I goofed there. It's actually the fella I was quoting, @AlabamaSpothunter, who has the swimbait collection! Also, have @PhishLI post a pic of his swimbait wall.I'm small potatoes.
  20. I'm not the monkey though. @LrgmouthShad @Jmurphy87 and the other guys who buy $100+ swimbaits regularly have me beat. πŸ™‰πŸ™ˆπŸ™Š
  21. New Daiwa Kage rods (posted by The Hookup Tackle). I really, really don't need more rods....
