Not only that, but a lot of people don't like fingering the line while working their baits. I'm one of them. Higher quality rods/materials definitely help transmitting feel and vibrations. I don't care what anyone says. I'm not saying you can't feel bites on a Snoopy pole. But an NRX is gonna transmit way more vibration, etc.

I love my Black Ops. I wonder if they're already discontinuing them though. They're clearanced at TW and they're nowhere to be found on their site. Maybe they didn't sell well. $300 from a company who wasn't really known for rods. A lot of people would be afraid to plunk that cash down. Putzing around on Omnia the other night looking up different brands I've never heard of. Came across these squarebills and medium-diving cranks from a company called Bay Rat Lures. Made in the USA, hand-painted. Eyes are 3D, not painted. Reg. $11.50, marked way down to $2.99. I couldn't find much info on them on the web. Some deep digging I found a few reviews that had good things to say about them, so I figured for that price, why not? The squarebills are silent and the divers have a small rattle.

These are the type of lashes you just say screw it, sit the rod down for the day, and grab another. Or go home if that's the only one you have.

This is the day I realized connection knots don't play well with Daiwa's T-Wing system. I had a pretty long fluoro leader tied on that day. I went to launch my bait and during mid-cast the knot got caught and the line snapped and this was the result.

Update- as of right now the discount is showing in my cart. Hopefully they figured everything out and it'll be all good now.

I talked to TW today and the gentleman said literally everything is included in the sale except for Humminbird and Minn Kota. Some stuff won't show up as discounted until after you actually place the order. You'll see it in your email confirmation. Another option is placing the order over the phone and they'll make sure you get the discount. *edit- strangely though, baits I have in my cart were showing the discount earlier today and now it isn't showing. So that's odd. I even clicked on the 'activate discount' again in my email, but no dice.
