  1. Just FYI, on TW they have the lure rating for that rod maxed out at 1/2 oz, which seems low for a MH/F rod. I went to Okuma's website and it says 3/4 oz, which makes more sense. If you feel funny fishing with the rod/sending it back, then just order it to get it in your hands. Give it a few bend tests. Maybe cast a lure in your yard without taking the tags/plastic off and see how that feels. Either way you're gonna be impressed by the fit and finish of these rods. And with how crazy light they are. And when fished, you'll see how crisp/sensitive they are. They really are a joy to fish with. Even if you don't go with that 7'5/rod for bladed jigs, if you're in need of a jig/Texas rig/all-around rod, I'd definitely advise checking out the 7'3 MH/XF.
  2. KVD Wake is 2.5" and 1/2 oz. https://www.tacklewarehouse.com/Strike_King_HC_KVD_Wakebait/descpage-SKKVDWB.html Then there's the KVD Shallow that is 2.5" and weighs 3/8 oz. https://www.tacklewarehouse.com/Strike_King_KVD_HC_Shallow_Squarebill_15_Crankbait/descpage-KVDSSB.html
  3. Not the same. Super glue dries rock hard, so it's hard to get a hook through. Mend-It is more pliable....soft material like the soft plastic.
  4. It still ends up being a good deal but it annoys me that they list their Jackhammers for $20. 🙄
  5. To be fair, I'm not a huge fan of FFS. But it's out there and available, so I'm not gonna bash anyone for using it. Especially tournament anglers where their livelihood is on the line. I wonder if Randy's wife knows of this device he has access to but refuses to use, that could potentially put more food on the table. Haha. There is the whole principle thing though, so I'll give some props for standing on that.
  6. I could listen to Hackney talk all day.
  7. I kind of liked his channel when it first came out. But now he just annoys me. Big-time hypocrite who does stuff now he used to bash other channels for doing (TW links in description etc). He'll address people who say he's hating on the young guys/scopers, saying he has no issue with them at all. But then the next video calls them flat-brimmers using their cheater box who couldn't catch a fish without it if their lives depended on it. He likes to talk out of both sides of his mouth. Some of his hot takes are just that. Says stupid stuff to get people talking/get views, like Skip Bayless and the talking heads on ESPN. I don't know, he just comes across as very negative and a know-it-all because he's been "fishing tournaments for 40 years" or whatever he says when he's reminding everyone of how knowledgeable he is. This is just my opinion, of course.
  8. Randy B. is too dumb to realize if he got his way, and they did ban FFS, he'd have nothing to talk about and his channel would take a huge hit. I have challenged him to put his money where his mouth is and get rid of all of his graphs, since anyone could consider those a form of cheating as well.
  9. @T-Billy will give Ark a ringing endorsement.
  10. The 7'1 H Feather is actually a GREAT bladed jig rod. It's definitely not a heavy. Like you said, very light rod as well, hence the Feather name.
  11. So far I'd say Copperstate and The Hookup Tackle, both running 20% off. Another site we can't name again apparently has 20% off most stuff with code. They also have 50% off a lot of the Zoom products. Hopefully you can figure out the site..
  12. Yeah I like these a lot. I fish them on the jig head Z-Man designed for them. Z-Man SMH Shaking My Head Jig Head.
  13. Well THAT'S true. 😄 I've done it, but don't particularly enjoy it. Especially if the fish aren't playing along!
  14. A lot of people don't know, but Omnia has a wishlist as well. I like them, but they'll never come close to having the stock that TW has. They just moved into a new warehouse a few years ago. But judging by how often they're out of stock on stuff, or just not carrying certain things, they may need an even bigger warehouse.
  15. If I'm using 1/2 oz+ for flipping/pitching creature baits, it's mainly to get through vegetation. Emerged and submerged.
  16. Ark Invoker Tour is a great rod.
  17. Copperstate Tackle has 20% off for their Memorial Day sale.
  18. TW Memorial Day sale has started. A whopping 10% off. Wow. It's gone from 20% to 15% to 10%. In a few years maybe it'll be 5%. Veterans do get an extra 10% off, which is nice.
  19. Copperstate Tackle Memorial Day sale has started. 20% off. No code needed.
  20. Prayers to you my friend and here's to a speedy recovery!
  21. I believe that patent ran out. This jig is very similar to the other one. But way cheaper.
  22. You won't buy these anymore?
  23. Like others have said, the slightest of rod twitches get the frog walking. Having a rod that has a little tip too it also helps.
  24. Have any of you guys/gals tried these yet? I just tried one the other day and so far I am SUPER impressed. Blade starts up right away. 5/0 BKK hook. Hand-tied skirt. Wire trailer keeper. This thing can give "that one bladed jig that's the most popular one out there that we can't talk about" a run for it's money. It's very similar. And speaking of money, it's only $5.99. Crazy. Hag's is on the left.
