They have rough teeth, but nothing like a pike or musky, typically you get a sandpaper rash.

I have bought from a handful of online vendors. The larger retailers, Bass Pro, Cabelas, Tackle Warehouse, Tackle Direct and Tackle Supply Depot and *** are pretty much always not a problem and if there is a problem customer service will take care of it. The worst problem is generally not having what you want in stock, and possibly pandemic related shipping delays. There are several vendors who sell on ebay and/or Amazon I have had good experiences with as well (tricetackle, departureoutdoors), so I tend to stick with them. Of course, there are some sellers I wouldn't touch either who may actually still be legit too. The only bad experience I have had was with one vendor who shipped a rod in several maybe 18 inch triangle shaped boxes that were taped together to make them longer. The rod arrived in the shape of a C and broken in multiple places. I sent a picture of the package to the vendor and they sent me a return label without issues. UPS then failed to deliver the package and after about a month sent it back to me as a damaged return, but when the UPS driver went to deliver it he asked what happened, I explained it was a return. It took another couple months for UPS to actually send it back to the vendor, but a little after the first month the vendor recognized the issue was not my fault and refunded my money. I have bought two other rods from the same vendor with no issue.

Man, I've had my own battles with cancer but I'm still alive three years later. I hope Aaron Martens can eventually look back on this in the past too. I definitely understand the balance. I had mild chemo, but even so that made me really tired and my balance was never right.

Well if I can ever make it out, I would be throwing mostly the same lures as August, just focusing more on shallow water. This would be jigs, t-rigs, tubes, crankbaits, spinnerbaits, jerkbaits and hollow body frogs mostly. My dad just had surgery so I have to take care of him right now. He's home and doing well with minimal restrictions, he just can't lift more than 10 pounds and can't drive, so I am hoping this weekend I may get some fishing in.

Grats on the new rig! My youngest son has a Topwater 120, and it definitely is very stable. It's pretty well equipped out of the box as well.

My kid has the Topwater 120, and I'm 6'3" and around 300lbs and I don't feel claustrophobic in that at all. I have a Bonafide SS127, and that works well too although I'm having my fair share of problems with it, mainly the pads the seat sit on do not stayed glued and I have to reglue them everytime I go out so it doesn't wear through the hull (it's already starting to wear through the hull), and of course I have to let it dry for 24 hours just to hold in place for 2 so that's limiting my time on the water. To make it worse, customer service with Bonafide is non existent. If they'd send the original recall kit, that would solve the problem, but because mine has pads they deem it not an issue. I'm going to have to solve this due to some redneck engineering somehow, I just haven't figured out how yet. Finally, the Hobie Pro Angler 14. It's expensive, but it's the ultimate fishing kayak. I'd say definitely take a look, they thought of everything.

If it's for square bills and lipless crankbaits, a M/F would work well too.

Most spinning rods run a little lighter. Most medium heavy spinning rods are similar to medium casting rods that run on the heavier side. Sometimes it doesn't really matter, and other times you may want to go a power heavier.

I've used the improved cinch knot, it's real quick but not nearly as strong. A well tied uni knot is very hard to break and the only problems I have is when I snag a lure on shore fishing, it's a little too hard to break. The trick is to tighten it down real good.

Yeah, it's kind of sad. Especially since decent modern hardware will remain effectively functional for years at this point unless you do a lot of heavy tasks like gaming or video editing where you always need more power.

I use pretty much use the uni knot for everything, it works on all line. The only exception is braid, where I will sometimes use a palomar, because they cinch down very tight and are very strong on braid.

I use 4" senkos when I'm targeting strictly smallmouth. You can also get rock bass on a 4" senko. If I'm targeting largemouth or a combination of largemouth and smallmouth, I usually stick to 5" senkos.

I have the Tatula Elite 7'1" M/F. It's a great rod for drop shots but a little much for a ned rig. I also have a St Croix Avid X 6'9" ML/XF which is what I use for ned rigs and smaller plastics on a drop shot.

That's the old way. It may apply with some current reels as well. With the Daiwa reels, you basically adjust the cast control knob to the point where the reel just begins to click side to side when the button is pressed. Once you get that set, you pretty much don't have to touch it. The newer models are supposed to come setup this way from the factory, but if you choose to adjust it the same applies. You can tweak the brakes to how you like it. I find for the most part, 8-10 is a fairly aggressive brake setting if you don't want to have to worry about thumbing the spool depending on the weight of the lure you're throwing and the rod you're using.

In what power and action are you looking for? The 6'9" St Croix Avid X ML/XF is pretty solid for around $200, and for under $150 you can get it's little brother in the Mojo Bass line.

It gets worse the further east you go. Franklin, Hamden and Hampshire counties are worse than Berkshire county, but the amount of cars on the road per square foot of road space is also significantly higher. Once you hit Middlesex and Norfolk county, it gets a whole lot worse real quick. In Berkshire county, the north county drivers aren't likely to get you killed they just drive insanely slow. South county has a lot of tourists from NY and they are awful, they will pass you in short 100 foot left turn lanes and into intersections in a 45mph zone and then go slower in front of you than you were going after nearly side swiping you.
