I use a 7'3" Jacob Wheeler (the old version) in a M/H. It's extremely parabolic which, it turns out, is not only helpful in keeping a fish pinned with trebles, but it's also spectacular for rolling deep cranks on the bottom. I found that I can bounce cranks in deep water at a MUCH slower pace (when I want to) because the rod is such an "absorber". I actually have a heavy version that I've used for my largest deep cranks (and huge spinner baits).

Steph and I were blessed to be able to get away for a few days to Bardstown, KY. We already had it booked Wed-Sat when Woodford Reserve announced they were releasing their annual Double Double Oaked Bourbon. That creates a huge traffic jam at the distillery. We just lucked into being there the same day. We got to sit down with only 18 other people for a special tasting with Master Distiller Elizabeth McCall who brought her own barrel pick. She and Master Distiller Emeritus Chris Morris are really geniune people who took an interest in all of us. They signed our Double Double bottles too. We also got up early one morning to stand in line for some allocated bourbons at Heaven Hill. Picked up our favorite private cask available only at the Chicken **** distillery. We spent every evening with friends at The Volstead Bourbon Lounge. Excellent, relaxing mini-vacation.

On the opening kickoff I thought I was watching the Bears. That was brutal.

Sorry, my opinion and I'm right. I also hate Megabass, Starbucks, viral challenges, IPAs, nearly every Super Bowl halftime show, and fluorocarbon (except for leaders). Your team got an unfair injury to their QB. I hope your backup kicks butt. (I don't know anything about Megabass. I'm just being divisive because it's cool on social media).

Just want to send my condolences to both Bills and Broncos fans (sincerely). What a great game. I like Josh Allen. I'm not a Bills fan so I don't watch all their games and I can't figure out his total failure in playoffs AND overtime games. Seems like he COULD be a contender, but he definitely isn't and I don't know why. It was dumb mistakes that caused the Bills loss and I'm sorry for you. I was rooting for you. Broncos fans. What can I say? What an outstanding defense. I felt strongly that you had a great chance. One ankle injury away. I know Payton has confindence in this backup because he drags him everywhere and keeps paying him more money every year. I hope he's right, for your sake. My take on it is that Payton is, and always has been, a poor coach that stumbles by accident into great teams (occasionally). I hope your backup excels for you. You have a great team. Me? I'm all Bears. I'm guessing this is our last game. HOWEVER, I guessed the same thing for the past 11-teen games. We don't deserve to win a Super Bowl...until we do. Go Bears!

When it comes to tech stuff I'm pretty much a drunk person with a head injury. I'm going to assume there are at least a couple other similar users on here so once I finally figured these two things out I thought I would share them: I like to see everything that's new when I log on instead of list of forums. That is this button in the upper right corner. Heck, maybe it has always been there! But I haven't had to find it in many years so...here you go: LOVE the new feed @Glenn. Great layout for seeing what's new! EDIT: And this drop down box lets you make the feed view permanent. Also, DARK MODE. This one took me longer to find. Lower left corner. Love this also. Me too. I haven't figured that one out yet. I just click on the logo to go back to home screen and then the menu button works.

A store manager who knows I love rye offered me this for a very reasonable price. Expensive, but very reasonable compared to secondary market prices. I couldn't pass on it. I've had the 17yr and 19yr as single pours in bars and he knew I have been looking for a bottle. It's just an outstanding rye. Sweet and spicy with cinnamon, vanilla and cherry. It's a little bit low on proof at 95 but that makes it more drinkable. It's one of those bottles that is going to empty quickly and then I'm going to be angry with myself for drinking it so fast.

We have significant issues with invasive Zebra mussels. They must have good reflexes because Ive had a few clamp down on my bottom baits. Ours are much, much smaller however. I've pulled a few off the bottom that were only an inch or two across. Even that small you still can't shake them off your Trick Worm. I'm impressed that you did battle with one that size. @Kayak Koz already nailed the dad-joke so I'll just move on now.

The amount of expert advice and experience Tom shared with us on nearly a daily basis is immeasurable. I can't begin to guess how many fishermen he educated and encouraged, including me. He was an outstanding teacher and he will live on with all of us that learned from him. Rest in peace, sir.

I just realized that I've been lying my entire life. When someone has asked me my favorite color I've always said "blue". That's a lie. My favorite color is "color case hardened". Fantastic lever gun.

Man, everyone I know that has switched claims they are glad they did. But what are you going to say if you let your best girl get away? I realize I'm an odd one out, but I have an iPhone SE. No, it's not an antique. Mine's only two years old. I got it because the new SEs are designed for people like me. They are shock resistant, water resistant, and come with Gorilla glass. The problem I'm having is my screen is smaller than any other current iPhone. When I'm trying to type a comment on FB I can no longer see what I'm typing until I post the comment. Same with some of my text messages. Most of my display settings have changed and I no longer have any choice in many of the settings. They have removed a significant amount of control over how your phone looks and acts. Even the timer! They changed the stupid timer and I can no longer use it for my workouts like I have for years. It's a ton of small things that they have taken over that I can't use or change to my liking. There is a huge number of complaints so maybe they will fix some things, but otherwise I'm going to have to throw my sucker in the mud.

I with you. I have been annoyed a few times at changes with updates, but usually the updates are either nothing noticable or, rarely, helpful. This is a completely different ballgame. They have removed so many user controls and made changes that leave the customer zero options. The more I use it the more amazed I am at how much has changed and for the worse. I'm feeling like I will be moving to an Android.
