  1. Does your power to your graph run on the same side of your boat as the power to your TM?
  2. If you have not already, run dedicated power directly from the cranking battery to be Graph. ideally, there should be no reason why there is any connection between your trolling motor power system and your graph power system. Thats where I would start. Ferrite rings and chokes are really just masks. If the charger is connected to both the trolling and cranking batteries then disconnect the charger it while out on the water to see if it changes the interference. Let us know how it goes. Good lucks.
  3. 3/8 oz Siebert Outdoors Dredge Dock Rocker. There is not a more versatile jig.
  4. Cool. Didnt seem like your lure fouling rate changed that much. It’d be interesting to see if anything was different in grass or slop.
  5. Stop. All the extra gear is doubtedly going to help you catch more fish. Its just going to pile up in your garage or whatever space in your house. You definitely don’t need it and a package everyday absurd. How much time everyday are you wasting browsing stuff to buy? Its really a trap. Buying fishing gear when you can’t actually go fishing is a poor substitute to make you feel closer to the sport. Save the money for a fishing trip say to Mexico or one of the big fish dream lakes. No judgment, just my thoughts.
  6. Monday was my 30th birthday. For my birthday I asked my wife to come along on the boat for a couple hours. She begrudgingly supports my fishing habit and she’s never been along with me or even caught a bass. I wanted to see if I could get her on some fish. Low and behold she caught one within the first minute of fishing! After netting the fish, her immediate response was “I can see how this could be addicting.” We went to a lake that is chalk full of 3-4 lbers and I had her setup on a medium light spinning rod really hoping she would hook into one and it would feel like Moby dick. Unfortunately, our little outing ended shortly after the first fish due to the steering cable on my Ultrex breaking (what a great birthday gift from the fishing gods), and we didn’t get to catch any more fish. Neither of us plan for her to go again (I wouldn’t want her out fishing me), but nonetheless, both of us had a good time!
  7. Where is the transducer mounted?
  8. Brilliant! Growing a jig tree!
  9. Worst advice: "Try Seaguar Tatsu." <= just look what that has done for my wallet... Best advice: "Don't put your fingers where you wouldn't put your face."
  10. As far as line bow goes. I definitely noticed less line bow with the heavier line. Maybe this is because the fluorocarbon sinks? I do not know. Just my experience.
  11. Anyone ever notice a difference between different line diameters and the ability to feel cover on the bottom? I recently ran my spool dry of 20-lb Tatsu on my jig rod and respooled with 12-lb Tatsu because thats what I had on the boat. I noticed immediately that the bottom became a whole lot less interesting. I was no longer feeling all of the rocks that I had felt before. I keep 12-lb fluoro on my worm rod and always felt like it didn't do well to pick up the bottom but I just attributed that to the rod being different and a texas rig being on the end instead of a jig. No I am wondering. It seems like the thicker diameter line makes it easier for me to feel the bottom. Anyone else have this experience?
  12. Learning how to do this is part of what intrigues me! Just horsing a fish right on through is great for tournaments. But man it’s fun to have to play them through cover and on light tackle!
  13. I have boxes full of them and even give them away for others to try. Only jigs I throw.
  14. OOOOhhhhhhh ok. Thanks for the info.
  15. For the ned rig. You can't really beat Zman. They just last so long and there isn't anything fancy about the action needed. Plenty of people using small swimbaits on ned heads. Would love to know your results. Good luck!
  16. Keep doing it. It'll be second nature in no time! When I am on the front I almost always have my foot on the pedal.
  17. They seem to always know my schedule and readily greet me.
  18. Somehow I forgot about small poppers!
  19. I’ve been thinking about how fun it is to catch bass on light tackle. Most topwater techniques/lures with which I am familiar are pretty heavy and almost require casting (vs. spinning) gear. What kinds of topwater lures are you all using that can be handled easily by medium/light spinning gear?
  20. Been out of Nebraska for the last month. So most of the fish should be ready to be caught again and the fishing should be good. Haha kidding.
  21. This is a huge thread, but a good read that might help you answer your question. As someone who has owned a BassHound, I wouldn't suggest both of you on a 10ft rig.
  22. Whats different than the usual 3/8 dredge brush jig?
  23. -Start by making a checklist. Seriously. The best way not to forget something when traveling is to make a list. I have traveled all over the world for work and I still use a check list. -Passports. Make copies of the ID page and put them in all of your bags. -Plan to spend some time in customs. This is especially true at airports in vacation destinations. You will spend a lot of time waiting in line with your bags. Just plan on it. Also, don't try to joke with the people in customs and be attentive when they are speaking. -Use the smallest carry on possible with just a couple of absolute essentials. It is a real hassle for you and everyone else on the plane to have a giant carry on and personal item on the plane. Just check everything you can. Waiting at the baggage claim isn't that big of a deal. -If you are going for your honeymoon, I assume you are staying at an all-inclusive? If so, you really shouldn't need a ton of cash. Bring cash that you plan to spend, but using a credit card (not debit card) is the most secure. -Check with your cell phone service provider to query coverage/extra charges.
  24. Add Tennessee to the list!!
