  1. Is this just a local deal or somewhere online where other can buy them?
  2. Does this style of hook remover do much with treble hooks or only with traditional single book baits?
  3. You aren't supposed to use KVD's during a fishing session?
  4. Going to give fluero a try this year. Watched plenty of YouTube videos on knots and such. One thing I've heard about is if you were to birdnest your baitcaster the line would pretty much be done for as to pick it out you'd surely damage it too much. Is it that bad or is this an exaggeration?
  5. Hmm, interesting! Wondering what the positives or negatives of rigging it up this way?
  6. I wasn't sure which board to post this on but I was wondering if anyone had any advice or YouTube videos or something they like showing how to handle different types of fish. How to grab them out of the water, what to do with species that are toothy and such. Most of my life I've used a net or only caught "traditional" fish like pan fish, bass, cats, etc. But I plan on branching out this year and don't want to harm a fish if I get a gar, carp, walleye, trout, pike, etc...
  7. Does it hold well? It just seems to me if I grab a hook that's shank is round with this thing that it wouldn't grip or hold. It's a crude example but the only thing I can think of is taking a pair of metal handcuffs (the hook remover in this example) and fitting it around a metal pole and it just kin did sliding up and down the pole because they are both metal and round an it never really grips or holds. I'll have to try it out but I'm skeptical.
  8. Was given this hook remover by a friend. Checking up on it it looks like it gets pretty good reviews so I'll give it a go. The thing is I am not quite sure how to use it. It has a "handle" you squeeze and it closes down that little hook on the end. Do you just reach in and set this hook around the fish hook at some point and squeeze as hard as you can and not let go to keep hold of the fish hook? Seems like with both items being metal it could real easily slide and not hold when you are trying to manipulate the hook. Anyone have any experience with this model?
  9. For someone who has never thrown a jerkbait and wants to give it a go which of these would you say are easiest to use/lost cost?
  10. I was too. Just email Mike and he will break everything down for you and answer any questions you may have. He just gave me his cell number and said give him a call! Great guy and great products! Getting ready to make another order myself.
  11. This may be more of what I was talking about. I was throwing a 1/2 ox Booyah with twin willow braids on a 7' rod with 832 sufix braid on it. I could really feel the vibrations, almost like you could feel each "wobble" of the willow blades. When I added this trailer the feedback was quite "muffled" and did not put off near the vibration. I was saying I really liked the look and profile of the bait with it but I was asking if it was somehow "interferring" with the blade action and the vibration put off was I actually doing myself a disservice? I was wondering if I should mess with the bend of it or if the size or weight of the trailer could be the culprit.
  12. Oh I am not saying you gave me a bad recommendation. I agree with the profile of the bait and how it looks. One of the main points of a spinner bait is obviously the flash of the blades. I was asking if you think if I cannot "feel" them as much as without the trailer for some reason if they indeed are spinning as much and if not if that defeats the purpose and I should go for something lighter or not as beefy?
  13. I am a big fan of the Owner weedless wacky hooks. I have used a 2/0 but have been wondering if I should try a 1/0.
  14. Hey A-Jay, I bought a pack of these blade minnows on your recommendation as a spinner bait trailer. I like the look of them but I was kind of put off by the "feel" of it. Without it on the retrieve I can really feel the blades moving in the water and get a lot of feedback. With it on as a trailer the feedback is really "muffled" and not but response. Do these have much tail action to speak of? I have used it on some 1/2 oz spinner baits and I was wondering if a trailer this big/thick is over powering it or something?
  15. So what size would you recommend for most normal applications?
  16. I have bought a few but have yet to take them out. I really like the design and underwater vids of it look pretty sexy.
  17. For a popping frog should you still try to "walk" it or do more of a popping action with your rod, cupping the water and splashing it?
  18. Welcome! Looks like the monkey beat you up too!
  19. PERFECT3 got me 3 bucks off. FREE4U didn't work for me. Just info for others out there.
  20. Glenn, what are some other types of lures you'd recommend to use a snap with versus tying directly to it?
  21. For my knowledge what is QuickDraw? What other differences are there with the striker plus line?
  22. I assume those number are the strength pound test? And I'd also assume the part that is "curled" that attachs to the baits split rings is curved enough to prevent it from flying off mid cast or while battling a monster bass?
  23. Do items drop off after a month or something?
  24. Can anyone confirm that the TW wish list is back up and actually working? I do not want to waste a bunch of time marking items all for naught. If it is working will it "save" those items forever as it were or do they expire?
