Fishing burn out?
Don't own a boat or get to fish different waters that often so maybe that's why if it gets to me sometimes (not very often) it doesn't last long. Like everyone says, take a break. The feelings will come back ... As Ever, skillet

bullfrog ate my bait!
When the zoo in Memphis first opened an aquarium building they had an albino (UGLY) bullfrog. It was caught by a flyfisherman and given to the zoo... "Truthfully I think I was the one who was worse off after the whole thing " Mrs M ;D ;D

Snob???
Haven't been bitten by that bug yet (maybe never :-/). Think I still like catching several smaller fish than going out for a trip and ending up with the dreaded "skunk" ! I realize it ups your chance for larger fish but so does a nice jig and pig or variation of ... As Ever, skillet BTW glad you're having such good luck and fun with them. Enjoy your addiction!!!

First post... Need advice
Think I would try either real early or late. Around here you upsize your bait for a chance at LARGE fish but with water that clear, just don't know. Hopefully some of the members from Fla. will come on and help out. Will say WELCOME to the forums!!! As Ever, skillet

Would this be a good rod for light jigs
Don't use rods that long but like you said"can't pass this deal up". Also sounds like it would be great for what you are wanting it for ... As Ever, skillet

t-riggin
I've always used shorter rods and IMHO if you're gonna stay with 3/8 weight and under go for Med. Just bought 6'6" Crucial M with XF tip for T-rigging and jigs. If you are gonna go with more weight, MH with F or XF tip ... As Ever, skillet

Traded my Carrot for a Crucial
Man, you sure have set yourself up for some grief from the Carrot Stix guys ! Haven't tried one myself but I bought what I consider my first really nice rod, a Crucial 6'6" MXF. IMHO a GREAT rod, Sure have some high hopes for it ... As Ever, skillet

The never ending search for the right tackle box.
Mostly fishing from the bank multiplies this problem by at least a factor of 10. Made do with a little 2 tray box (you wouldn't believe how much I crammed in it) until about 3 yrs ago. Went up to a whopping 3 tray Flambeau :-[ and now it is probably pushing 50lbs. ! Just don't think I'd like one of the soft bags and folks are using backpacks now but that would be awkward IMHO. Sure hope someone comes up with something before I get shipped off to the Nervous Hospital ;D... As Ever, skillet
