  1. I live on the other side of Tn and the geography is as different as night and day (so are the lakes). Unless you are talking about Kentucky Lake or Pickwick all our lakes are smaller state run lakes. Usually all electric motors only or no-wake lakes. The fishing is pretty much average to GREAT (any day out on the water is at least Good for me ;)even if I don't catch many so you'll have to take my opinion with a grain of salt ;D)... 2. I have an older ABU Garcia ('84) Ultra Mag 1, with magnetic brakes. I usually have it set on "0" and can cast a country mile ;)with it. My other 2 baitcasters are Citicas and so far 2 on 4 off is the best setting for me. Maybe 1 day ;D... As Ever, skillet
  3. Went camping with the family for a weekend at small lake in Ark. once. The whole weekend bass were chasing shad to the top in one place or another. Would only last very short time. At the end of the weekend was taking boat back to ramp to load up for trip home. Suddenly it happened around me ! Had a Devil's Horse tied on one of the rods. Cast into the middle of all this and had a strike almost instantly. Reeling in and had another fish trying to take lure out of first fish's mouth! By the time I had unhooked the fish it was all over . Didn't see any stunned baitfish either. Didn't last long but it was sure an exciting short while ;D... As Ever, skillet

  18. Have had that happen, even pull drag. It was the main reason I changed from mono to copoly. Thought it was the stretch of the mono :-/. Happened to me once 3 times in a row (hate to admit this :-[). After the first time, thought "I'll show you", tried to cross his eyes!!! As Ever, skillet
  19. The bream around here will pull parts off creature baits. Hit hard enough, you'd swear it was a bass . Have got so tired of the bream that have done a half-hearted hookset to find out it was a bass :-[. WELCOME to the forums, Lobster Monster!!! As Ever, skillet
