  1. Don't know about "local" but you might want to post this in the Tacklemaking section. There are several members that do mighty nice work. Hope this helps... As Ever, skillet
  2. Sorry, can't help with the review of the other reels. You listed the Curado D but not the Citica. I bought the Citica 200D, liked it so much got another when they went on sale (with a rebate ). If you are considering the Curado you should seriously consider the Citica. From what I've read from other members and heard the new Citica is a better reel than the new Curado (and less $$$)... 13. If flatheads are the same as yellow cats (yeller if you're from the South ), this might help. When I was a kid some of the dads in the neighborhood set out lines baited with live bream or goldfish (not small either)... As Ever, skillet

Red, got to thinking about it. That is really bad 2nd degree burns if not 3rd. You might think about a Dr. or at least Rx antibiotic... As Ever, skillet

  17. Used them a lot when I first started fishing and then they got shoved to a back corner somehow. They can be one of the most versatile of baits! Fish them FAST, fast, crawl, slow, or shallow, mid-depth, deep,or retrieved steady, yoyoed, twitched. All of the above or something you come up with. When you get a strike there is usually no tap tap tap, they slam it.........still wonder sometimes how the got so far back in that corner... As Ever, skillet
  18. Yea, there times when catching plays second fiddle to where you're at (just not very durned often )... As Ever, skillet BTW Actually, it takes all the parts to make the whole experience...

  22. The difinitive answer is yes and no . I don't use them myself, at all. Some folks use them to help when changing lures. This one of those opinion things ... As Ever, skillet
  23. Don't know if this is any help but you can run a piece of parafin (wax) up the line 3ft or so and it works with any line... As Ever, skillet BTW When I used mono, it floated until it got watersoaked, but even then it didn't hurt the action of topwater lures
  24. Hope I'm not reading you wrong but once you feel confident with one type of bait, try somthing new! There is a time and place for different rigs and baits ;)and the Bait Monkey will love you ... As Ever, skillet
  25. Definitely! To the point that when I'm using something else, I'm wondering if I should be using plastics ... As Ever, skillet
