Sorry, can't help with the review of the other reels. You listed the Curado D but not the Citica. I bought the Citica 200D, liked it so much got another when they went on sale (with a rebate ). If you are considering the Curado you should seriously consider the Citica. From what I've read from other members and heard the new Citica is a better reel than the new Curado (and less $$$)... Used them a lot when I first started fishing and then they got shoved to a back corner somehow. They can be one of the most versatile of baits! Fish them FAST, fast, crawl, slow, or shallow, mid-depth, deep,or retrieved steady, yoyoed, twitched. All of the above or something you come up with. Don't know if this is any help but you can run a piece of parafin (wax) up the line 3ft or so and it works with any line... As Ever, skillet BTW When I used mono, it floated until it got watersoaked, but even then it didn't hurt the action of topwater lures
